I search the forums, and everyone seem to have a opinion on how it actually works.

So its a bit confusing. =z

It adds water damage to physical attack. That's about it.

Oh...and it makes your hand shiny. Normally spammed to build Chi because of fast cast time.

    That's about it really.

i mean how does it add damage

There are at least 4 different explaination lol

Your Base mag Attack -> Other Melee 's attack
Your Weapon Mag Attack -> Other Melee 's attack
Other Melee 's mag Attack -> Other Melee 's attack
Other Melee 's phy attack -> Other Melee 's attack

the description is terribly misleading. It has nothing to do with magic attack at all, it simply adds the 30% (at level 10.. higher for sage/demon versions) weapon damage to normal attacks. That doesn't mean a straight 30% increase in damage (or even close), because normal hits take into account the base physical attack, masteries, buffs, str, etc etc. It's just a very very small increase (less than 10% in most cases.. during triple spark probably in the 2-5% increase to damage). You should also note that it won't add any damage if you don't have your weapon equipped, but it is sometimes useful to buff melee classes in pvp so their skills can still hit immune to physical targets (the damage is ****, but the effects work). So if a BM friend of mine is fighting some psychic for example, psychic uses psy will to become immune to physical (kinda like expel), the BM can still use stuns like drake bash without it getting totally resisted.. so the stun will still work. Hope that helped :(

Like Blazing Arrow and Poison Fang (exactly like it, only than it can be casted on others)

This thread explains it quite nicely

After many trials and calculations i got to the conclusion that it:

Adds to EACH SINGLE MELEE/RANGED NORMAL HIT a water damage equal to 30% of the TARGET's WEAPON PHYSICAL ATTACK.

I mean it calculates the 30% of the weapon and ONLY the weapon. no base damage. no equip damage. no shards damage. And the weapon took in consideration is the one of the target of the buff, not the weapon of the wizard.

    Example:

I buff a BM that has an axe that has 500-900 physical atk. he averagely deals 2000 dmg with normal hits.
    After buffed, he will deal 2000+(900+500/2)*30/100 = 2000+210 = 2210 average damage.
If you happy wanna be, against the wind you won't have to pee.

yes unless you hit mobs with your magic sword instead of casting a spell
