So all my life of this game i've been searching for a class that i know i'd love to play and i've been through them all. And finally i have schossen the mystic as my class of choice(due to the fact i've played a cleric and veno b4). But i'm just a little confused on what is supposed to be done:
1)What is a good TT weapon chain?
2)PvP what is it like for mystic?(Due to the fact we have like six 'attack' skills)
3)Marcos?
4)The sticked guide is confusing a little what plant summons are most important?
5)CAn i get some clear answers on our roles in a squad? From gv-FC

I think that's all for now please don't flame i'm still farly new to this whole thing.
Thanks in advance for all who provide answersb:shutup

    1) The most common is Ancient Arbor (60)-> Grief's Breath (70) -> Endless Ambiguity (or sth) (80) -> Wrath Conquerer (90).
Another one is Ancient Arbor -> Acalanatha Wand (70) -> Sell weapon -> get Wheel of Fate (80)-> Wheel of Denied Fate (90)-> Fate denial Godspeed (99) ( there is a lot of debate about this weapon , but all in all , it is an excellent choice if u want Nirvana out of it and wont go for Rank gear)

    2) It's good , u have a PVP knockback and a OMGPOWN Summon , but apart from that i will leave a more experience Mystic contribute.

    3) again as the 2nd , i personally dont use macros cause i tend to use different skills depening on mob ( heal in betweens , only attacks , just let pet attack o.O)

    4) the Most important ones In my opinion are the 2 Debuffing ones ( Creeper and Spidervine ) but mostly in squad situations , Then i would try to bother with the 2 healing ones as latest tests showed that they can both appear in the field .

5)Mmm it depends on the formation of the squad , while clearing mobs u can watch over the squishies , drop some falling petals around , deal some AoE dmg and use a debuffing pet (especially in Rebirth and FF). Make also good use of Salvation , its 2 protective skills can save ur tank DDs and clerics countless times , Salvation first skill can be very usefull when the tank gathers mobs in FF ;). At bosses debuff with a palnt that casts skills that no other player can do at all , or at least easily. ( Ex : If cleric is busy healing he cant use the Magical Debuff + if veno pets doesnt have Howl , it's time for a nice placed Creeper ;)
If boss does a lot of dmg , spidervine can help , or at some AoE bosses , combine Healing and Vital herbs.

that's all i can think about , some more contribution would be nice

TT weapon wise I'm just following along to get Endless Ambiguity, haven't really thought about later levels. Probably whatever I can find with good -chan.

PVP wise... Contrary to what a lot of people say Mystics can pack a serious punch. I've only PVP'd via Dueling though... Which unless it's a 5APS or just someone a much higher level you should be fine. You have to -not- rely upon your summons. My tactic is to Energy Leech my Salvation at the very start making me immune to Stuns, Freeze, and Gives me a Massive Heal tick and damage shield (I was only taking 6dmg from an 80 veno when I was 70). For the most part you can pretty much spam Nature's Vengeance and win. You also have a knockback spell which is very nice and Thicket has about a 50% chance to freeze and silence your target which is awesome. Also, with enough -Chan you can most likely cast Nature's Vengeance>Absorb Soul and knock out an AA or LA player, it's kind of worthless against HA users.

As far as macros go, I have no idea. I'm not really a fan of them. And as far as quest mobs go, you'll be able to cast NV and then Absorb Soul and kill mobs without being touch... if you have the -chan.

Our roles in squad seem to change with how things go. I originally made this Mystic to follow my wife's veno around. In squad, on many bosses mobs are immune to the buffer from NV attack so Absorb Soul is kind of a waste of time, except for the fact it comes in handing for avoiding peeling agro. I have a really rough time not stealing agro. I've played the role of healer and damage and tank. I love how people say mystics are weak when I consider the bosses I've solo'd.

They're a great class once you get the hang of them and if you have the gear to buff up the pets for more damage and -chan.

    3) The best macro I use is after I die or when I log on:
    (Salvation/Devil > transference > resurrect > V.shell > heal summon > transference(again to stop transfering ,optional))
you better have full mp pool or use pots during the macro. also, select yourself or nothing before.

other macro I use on most mobs: (Nature vengence > swirling mist(Lv1) > Knockback > NV > NV > mist...)
Lv1 mist conserve ALOT of mp while give very similar dmg, can be replaced with all NV if you dont mind draining mp. knockback is just great on the slowed mob but remember you need chi.

4)the best plant worthing leveling, befuddling creeper lvl 10. healing/vital herb can be decent choices but are hard to get in places during a boss fight making heals the wiser choice most of the time.

For TT weapon chain i strongly recommend the glaive, if you plan on having a tt99 gold weapon instead of say, FC, lunar, nirvana, or rank weapon.

i havnt pvped a whole lot, but ive come in some situations of 1 vs 1, 2 vs 1 (that 1 being me xD), etc. i can say that in most of my cases i have won the battles. but i got to hand most of my efforts to Storm Mistress and Cragglord.

ive got a few macros but theyre true mana hogs. 1 for healing, which is Break in the clouds and falling petals over and over lol. and the other is an attack macro with NV>absorb>NV>swirling>NV>bramble tornado, with 15% casting currently the combo is working fine. i only use this on bosses though (well, really for when my hubby is playing my char and he doesnt know what skills to use xD), although, absorb isnt very helpful on bosses.

i havnt FCed, but in TT and BHs, i can say that storm mistress is your main DD on [?] mobs, vital herb is the best healing herb, and make sure clerics have revive buff XD in most cases you arent the main healer, but if you see someone low on HP, be sure to give them a hand in their party, because i think clerics might expect you to help out.

Well something in another post caught my eyes with the mp drain we usually encounter would it be wise to shard some of those turquoise shards inot our caps and hats?(yeah i know there are ways to save up mp but i mean it would be interesting to have a class that actually uses the shards for more than cs and uses more than the patk, matk and citrine shards.)Which speaking of the shards would mixing matk and woodatk shards boost more damage??b:shocked

Elemental shards only add damage to melee attacks. I has no effect on any type of magic damage. As for the turquoises, I can understand your point, but really, it would be a waste of sockets you could use for citrines or maybe garnets... (going full citrines on my mystic since he's totally pure mag and has quite ridiculous base HP)

Even if you sharded only with turquoise shards, it still wouldn't do anything to slow down the mana consumption, and it would completely gimp your hp/pdef if you're pure mag. Our spells are very mana intensive, and that's not going to change, unless we get a break on some of the skills' mana costs like CN had. There are much more useful shards to use; sharding for extra mana is a complete waste of socket slots and money.

If you don't use charms, I'd suggest picking up Apothecary for the mana regen pots. They help tremendously.

Here is a build for a level 67 pure mag mystic with over 8k mp and no turquoise shards -- actually no shards at all. The +5 mag adds help, but all the +mp adds are key. One +150 mp add adds more mp than one +10 mag add does.

    http://pwcalc.com/757a5e117bc861c3

    For reference:
    - 18 Flawless Turquoise shards will add 1152 mp.
    - 18 Flawless Garnet shards will add 738 pdef.
    - 18 Citrine shards will add 720 hp.

For the mana consumption... i caved and bought a bunch of spirit charms in the cashshop because of how cheap they are... I don't have a lot of mana yet (Around 3k) but I've had a plat spirit charm on since she was level 19, and I have over 1.6mil left to use (out of 1.8mil MP). And I don't just stand there watching my pet tank, I cast NV and heal and hand out random rez buffs, etc. I think if you want an easy way out of the mana consumption, buy charms now while prices for them are really low. Apo pots are good for if you can't spend real money/don't have enough coins in game to buy them. They are free to make, unless you count time as currency ;)

You guys are forgetting that we have v. shell which is basiclly +80% physical def (+90% at lvl 11), so garnet gems is the best way to shard your gear, each flawless garnet is 41*1.8 = 74 p.def and that is absoultely amazing with the low p.def arcane armor and no evasion. I have 16 flawless garnets on my gear, that is 656 p.def alone(1181 p.def with v.shell). at lvl 70 I take 44% dmg less from p. attacks.

if you go into BHs and instances you'll bump alot into closeup attackers and now you can actually tank them yourself, my normal heals fully recharge my 2k hp most of the time, so garnets is just way better than citrines for a class than can heal itself and low in p.def.

to me i think having more vit gives me more survivability so i socket in flawless citrines on my TT gear ^.^
