Old Topic but need help quick!

hi everyone i just got back from a long break and i did the update patch yada yada and its the problem when i hit start i get a garbled unreadable message, I click ok and the game doesnt start nothing happens. Now ive searched the net for this thread topic but everyone ive seen never found a solution does anyone know???

Edit:May have found solution,my graphics card was apparently disabled 0.0 not sure how it started so fixed that now will test out and reply with answer soon.
