Hi all. I must say that i stop playing pwi the last year. And i came back to this new version of pwi.
Now i wan to ask some questions to u.
Battlemaster is still strong ? What's about Seeker ? I really love this class but dunno how it goes in pve and pvp.
If u have to choose one (pve and pvp) which would u choose Seeker or BM ?
And a last question, Raging Tide is still a popular server or no more ?

Thanks in advance.

People don't really know the Seeker class yet, and since you are asking in the blademaster forums our answer are going to be a little bit skewed.

BMs are still great for pve. We're the second highest dps class, although sins kick out butt by a long shot. We are still the second best tanking class because of our HA build and damage output, debatably, with sins grabbing more aggro but being alot squishier. We have an aresenal of skills that make us useful in a squads including a squad buff and Heaven's Flame for amping.

For pve, BMs lost a little bit of popularity since Rank 9 came out because Rank 9 favored caster classes more than other classes. We are now 1 shot fodder for most Rank 9 wizzies, psys, even some venos and clerics. However, we are still excellent in TW doing our stun+HF combos, and we still are very excellent in pve if we can survive being 1 shotted.

Seekers have some mixed abilities, but they can't use fists, they can tele stun, and they are a HA/magic tanker class that has an arsenal of self buffs and opponent debuffs. They are missing some major skills, like an anti stun, I hear.

... and was Raging Tides ever a popular server?
Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory

bm = high dps, mid spike- mele/mid range class that specialized in aoe's and stuns with one noteable amp (heavens flame)

seeker = mele/long range mid dps/obscenly high spike- class that specializes in weapon modification and high damage skill chains

hint: if you cant afford rank 9 dont roll a seeker, unless you like getting 1 shoted by magic classes they're entirely gear dependant on defense

take note: blademasters are more wanted in squads thus far due to not only their def buff (aura of the golden bell) but also their high aps + heaven's flame (HF helps the entire group do damage for higher lvl things like Nirvana and FF)

Seekers are better for tanking then a fist/axe bm due to more HP and their def lvl buff (which you need to be a fist/axe bm in order to do everything [meaning pure axe build won't get you into nirvana squads due to aps and any other pure build won't have heaven's flame which is an amazing skill you NEED, and why would you want to be only one weapon class and limit yourself? I personally am Fist/Axe/Pole])

Seekers will not tank vs int bm. As much more "fit" for the job as they may be. They won't tank the boss for you. I am only 2.0 base (I don't get to triple spark cause I HF :P only get to triple > cloud erupt > HF if my genie is ready) and at 2.0base I end up tanking the boss vs the seeker who is 5 levels above me.

Int BMs (fist/axe) are mostly auto attacking on boss.
    Seeker have to chain skills.

Also take note: The seeker amp that helps with physical attacks is for SKILLS ONLY. Meaning that a sin and int bm (who autoattack) do not benefit by that amp.

And as for affording Rank 9. You have to be able to afford int-stuff for BM and his gear too. WTLG cape is like a standard now. (costs around 40m) So, in short, in the end you need money either way no matter what the class. EVERY class has their own "need to have" kind of stuff.

    i laughed there

my bm's entire int set cost less than the rank 9 ring

What are you doing exactly, are you making a new character but don't now what to make or already have BM but don't now if you should keep playing as it or go to seeker.

If your making a new one and don't know which one I suggest you just make both and if you already have BM just stay as it.
