Endgame gear= boring

Thanks to the General's Summers sales, now the new endgame gear that can be obtained quite easily is rank 9 unfortunately.
I say unfortunately because Rank9 gear is the most boring gear I have ever seen in any game. Among magic classes the armor has practically the same stats. Excluding psyes, all the magic classes can choose among 4 types of magic weapons, except for rank9. So I will have to be content with a pataka, even though: I hate patakas!
For other type of classes it's the same monotony. Archers can use slingshots, crossbows and bows, but there is only bow. Barbarians can use dual axes, dual hammers, and polearms, but there is only dual axes available. Let's not even get started with bms... the only class in the game that has weapon type dependent skills. They have 4 different skill trees for 4 type of weapons but at rank9 there is only axes...
So, why am I trying to get rank9 even though I hate it? Because rank9 has these stupid set bonuses that makes anything that is not rank9 a easy 2 shot or less. If rank9 didn't have those bonuses I would be farming nirvana at this moment.
Nirvana sets were the best gears we have had because it allowed you more customization. You could even do some crazy builds like heavy armored venos, light armored wizards or eps, etc. just for fun.
With rank9, there is only one build whether you like or not, and if u don't have it you are not going to be a match for any rank9.
At this rate, everyone will have the same gear, with the same stats. Everyone will use the same weapon. Pretty much what may be different will only be the fashion :x
My suggestion is that you CM and gms that look at this forum tell the developers on china to give more choices to rank9. More type of weapons with totally different stats. Maybe a way to change the stats of the armor. To magic classes give them the option to acquire any type of magic weapon, and please tell to put -10 channel in one of them.
So that's what I wanted to say. Rank9 set is monotonous, so more variety would make it more interesting.
While I am giving great suggestions that will probably fall on deaf... or more accurately blind eyes: Since mystics can knock people in pvp now, could we possibly have wizards do it too now? I heard they had disabled that for wizards because it was op, but now that mystics have it, could it mean it's not op anymore? Oh, also make bramble work everywhere too, so veno skills work all the time, just like the new classess'.

Sounds nice, maybe random stats like the 3rd Nirvana weapons does, so you have a chance to get different stats than others have on the same weapon.
I also hate patakas xD!
I missed the channeling stats on R9 chest and weapon and I saw another post where the BM sayd the same for -interval on R9 gear.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I don't know what you mean with your short sentence. In case you meant that in case someone doesn't like rank9 gear, that's not an option as I had said. The reason is because nirvana is actually harder to get (money or time wise) and you end with a set that is way inferior to nirvana.
The reason is because a whole set of rank9 will give u 60 attack level and 20 defense level while nirvana only gives you 5 attack level and 10 def level for the whole set. So nirvana is really inferior versus rank9.0 -

IKR...even tho a common joe could go a few weeks without eating, getting behind on his bills a little bit, and selling his dog to achieve r9....not the majority are as of yet are doing it...
But the minority of people that are doing it, they are like gods among men.. and completely change the outcome of an even numbered/leveled TW. Ading more godly like stats to somthing that is already OP than the mass majority of people? Not needed.0 -
Just 1 question : how much customizations in build do you see in all other gears then r9 ?
Look at 100 lvl80s bms, 99 of them at least will have the exact same gear besides some refines, and exact same stat distribution with a margin of like 10 points from low lvl mistake and to lazy to fix it. Same on other classes, same on all other lvls. Pretty much all bms I know are 3str/2dex fist+axe, with same armor setup for -int (if not having it, then aiming for it). Even 2nd cast vana weaps are pretty much same cause all quench them till they get sacr *** and/or -0.05 int (for most melee weaps).
Time of versality, with 10 of same class, all different builds is long gone. Unfortunately, but true. Monkey sees, monkey does. All will run in the same direction except a few excentrics (probably like you and me lol)
PS maybe you should look at the post of a bm about how r9 fails for sins and bms (to lazy to get link), but I'm sure you'll find it highly amusing :P0 -
yes, i will yawn with you at the assortment of gears from which to choose from, that is NONE. i will never be r9 so that is not an issue. what i would like bring up/add to the discussion is
a) eliminating the jones blessing. this obvious pitch for facebook hits is over as you could not get 200k likes for us to have 2x drops, even after many players have set up multiple facebook accts and have 100's of them stashed. with the page down now....don't you wish you "cheated" too. this ties into the OMFG stats of r9 in that adding a +30 att level jones on top of it is the ridiculous part. how about an option to get a +30 def blessing instead to counter that overpowered set bonuses. now that i would sign up for.
b) add 3rd stage nirvana. run with that one.

I think I read a bit of that post. Yes, with all the type of weapons there is 99% of the characters use the same build. Even so, rank 9 is even more limitated. There is only one type of weapon for a class. For some it doesnt matter, like sins or psyes. For others is lame. Like for venos, they get patakas. I hate patakas, weapons to me are full out attack, not defense. I wish we could have the stats of the psy's weapon.
What I was saying is that it would be more fun if we could change the stats of rank9 like in nirvana. With that implemented I am sure we would see more variaty.
To Keirslyana: yeah I wish there would be 3rd stage for nirvana too, but I don't think there will. I am losing hope on this game0 -
@ Azura : I do understand what you try to say, I just think that for 99% of the ppl it won't make a difference, cause they just want the same. Imagen you could choose between the r9 weap of vene, wizzie and cleric on a mag class. Even with my limited knowledge of caster classes, I'm sure 90~95% of the ppl getting there would go for the same weap, leading to more monotony. On something I know better, look at the g15 vana axes: even if adds are random, you only see them with sacr ***.
I agree it would be fun. I'd like the idea, but it would only affect like 1% of the server. The rest would still go after the same thing, cause ppl say that is the 1 best way, and I think it would just get things more monotone in gear. Opposite of what you actually want if I read your post correctly.0 -
