Suggestion for future patch (Gm response please)

I have noticed lately that there is a new trend going on in west arch.
People block npc on purpose with there catshop, preventing me from using that npc and going in there catshop instead.
This not only frustrates me to no end, but also makes it unable for me to play the game. (teleporter, ah, banker, boutique agent).
Is it possible to implement in a future patch, a 5 meter (maybe more, maybe less) radius around npc's where you are unable to start a catshop. (it can be done, other games have it)
Also i would suggest a 30 minute ban/boot from game for people that intentionaly prevent players to use npc's until the patch is in effect.
thank you for your time

I got a better idea, just eliminate catshops alltogether worthless things0

Do you not use the Shift button?0

This is in no way a new trend, and the game already has a way to let you select an NPC through a player.
Hold CTRL and click, or hold SHIFT and click, depending on whether you want to select NPCs or players.0 -
There one thing that always annoy me . . (b:surrender)
The most troublesome case is . .
A crowd of catshop make a wall and surround a catshop that i want to see.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

use your camera.....they cant stand on top of the other catshop0 -
Am I the only one picturing how funny West Arch would look, crowded with a carpet of cat-shops, except for a 5 ft bubble around all npcs? The mini-map would look like reverse leopard print! b:chuckle
Yeah, hold down shift to be able to select an NPC through people. This is also handy when there are a bunch of toons with huge mounts crowded around an NPC, like the Banker. b:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Let them make a special shop zone to put shops. Simple things makes life so much easier b:laugh0

This is not a private server, where such things often exist. Although I rather enjoy the thought of a REAL marketplace to vend, SHIFT+ Left click is more than enough to deal with most annoyances. Sometimes, though, finding the NPC can be a problem to begin with... (hate those shops that set up on top of a NPC).
Not to mention that would require active GMing to instill things like a ban for vending too close to NPCs.
Devs, AKA not the people of PWE, would have to implement the idea. Chances look slim to none.Playing a healer since 5/29/2001.

I agree with this. It's particularly annoying when flying toward an NPC and wanting to simply double-click to fly down to them. Having to try to negotiate the shift key at the same as you're possibly flying over just because of some selfish fool in all probability trying to get you to "accidentally" click on their shop. (Thus gaining an unfair advantage over other catshops...is this not against the ToS? ).
There's one on Dreamweaver that seems to be constantly placed directly in front of the west merchant as a Lighter shop B/S Rough Fur. b:angry0 -
Pull a world boss through West Archo. Problem solved. b:chuckle
Plus you might actually get a GM response. b:laugh0 -

Even using CTRL or SHIFT can be hard sometimes when its crowded and laggy around the NPC.
If its like 20 chars standing on top of Bounty Hunter including people on Fishmounts and other ****, it will take you a while zooming with the camera and clicking SHIFT b:angry
Think a good option would be if you could target NPC using the T-Function. Kinda how you can target players. Instead of filtering only "wizard, clerics" etc you could also filter for NPCs.0 -

God knows we get filtered alot b:surrender
On a side note- shift always worked well for me.
Besides, I'd rather see rubberbanding fixed than be able to click an NPC more easily.0 -

I was gonna say that it's really not -usually- that hard to use SHIFT, but you know what - that idea of yours sounds really, really nice...Katzyn, level 101 Demon Veno

You actually can't pull mobs into arch unfortunately. There is an invisible barrier that mobs can't cross. Veno's with pets out can see their pets smack into this barrier as well.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I think it's a great idea, it's annoying as hell (even with shift + click). Catshops shouldn't be able to put shops anywhere near an NPC let alone put shops on top of the NPCs heads. I vote for this one to be implemented.Currently: pwcalc.com/b4c92dacf1da8c210
