Hi again!
I think I finally found a solution, at least it works for me and hope it works for everybody.
This is what I did:
Step 1: Enable Perfect World in the Firewall:
1.- Go to Control Panel
2.- Go to Windows Firewall
3.- Go to Advanced Setting
4.- Go to Inbound Rules
5.- Go to Perfect World (is in grey) and say Enable No
6.- Right Click on Perfect World (in all the ones U see) and click Unable Rule
Step 2:
U also can Enable Perfect World in the firewall doing this:
At the same window, in the right corner U see Actions - Inbound Rules
1.- Go to New Rule
2.- Select Program (Software - My windows is in sapnish)
3.- Click on next
4.- Click on Explore
5.- Select the elementclient.exe file from the Perfect World Folder
6.- Do the same and now select the patcher file from the Perfect World Folder
Step 3: Open port 29000 In Windows 7 (doesn't know how to do it on XP or Vista but it should be similar):
1.- Go again to New Rule
2.- Now select port
3.- Click on next - Let TCP selected
4.- On the Specific Local Ports write 29000 and click on next
5.- Select Allow The Conection and click on next
6.- Select Domain and click on next
7.- Give it a name (like Perfect World or whatever U want) and click on Finish
Let me know if it work for U b:pleased b:bye0 -
I'm on Vista so I don't have most of those options. I already had PWI in my list of exceptions. I tried adding an exception for that port but it didn't work. b:surrender0

Ok I know that bumping isn't allowed in the forums, but since the other thread is mod-post-only I just wanted to thank the PWE team for finally releasing a fix for it. b:thanks b:thanks b:thanks
I was right! It was those dang dancing green midgets!
If anyone hasn't seen the official fix yet, I posted a link to it in the first post.
Peace out guys, I'm off to play genesis on my good computer b:pleased0 -
PW has crashed a few times right before I enter the game with one of my characters.
This has happened with three of my chars. I have somehow solved it by logging in with a different character first, then switch to the character that's apparently causing the crashing.
I also solved the same problem by lowering the graphical settings.
This problem always happens with one specific character, for me.0
