Guardian Charms in PvP

Is there a way to get past them? I'm thinking of switching to a PvP server, but unless I'm mistaken on charms and there is a way to get past them without having to fight for an hour streight, this would just ruin PvP for me.
There is way to much room to escape if you have that much health and matches would last too long.
Let me know please..

    If you have enough damage to hit your opponent for more than 50% of his HP at once, then , you can just do weaker attacks to get their HP down, to 55% say, and then do your more powerful attack to deal say 60% of their HP in damage, they will die and their charm won't tick.

    Other than that, if you cant kill somebody who is charmed, then run away unless you want a total charm ****
