PvP vs PvE servers, some questions.

Hello, Hello. I have like lvl 41 one Seeker in Harshlands (PvP East) server and i have some questions.

Is there more well >>pve<< in PVE servers? As in dungeon parties at the same lvl going and doing dungeons together, and that to be regular practic and not a rear ocasion.

I mean is my lvl to low to ask for that, should i not be surprised by the fact there is almost no way to form a decent party (squad) around that lvl and go to "Secret Passage" to say or some dungeon more suitable for our lvl(like the one near Untamed City i think).

Or am i unaware of the way to do that? How does one join a squad for a continuous group XP and SP and item farming like pwning bosses and getting loads of XP on the way?

I startet my to say first (i have 16 cleric while i was w8ting for Genesis to arrive, and 7 BM just to feel what the game is like with a fighter class) character at PvP server with the tought that eventually there will be nothing else to do but to participate in either voluntery or involuntery PvP but i didn`t think that will prevent some hardcore partieing on the way.

I mean if the way to that is to be in PvE server i might as well reconsider my decision while it`s not too late... i do wanna try Assasin and Archer now that i saw em in game (go Sins, even thou Seeker is quite pleasant to play i like the Mele Caster feeling i get of it. Chipaw some hardcore range nukes and than eat sword ******* :P)

Please someone that understands what i am asking answer. And some advice on how where and near what lvls to look for squads...

BTW there is however one very imporant thing. I do not like the type of party where some High LvL drags you around and there is basicly no team play. I like the whole cleric must heal tanks, tanks must survive, DDs must pwn and not take agro at the same time, and pullers must pull 1 by 1 and not the whole flock stuff... I wanna expirience it and if it is not part of the current PvP server expirience i might as well continue my BM on River something PvE server (because Sin there won`t be as cool and archers have always been solo grinders i think).

It sounds like a PVE server is right for you. Besides FC where people power level their characters, people squad up all the time to complete quests and do boss runs (called Bounty Hunter Quests or BHs) together. If you join a faction that a good amount of active people around your level this is especially true.

The only difference in the servers is the number of players and pking style. Otherwise, it's all the same, pve wise. PVE server doesn't necessarily mean that PVE experience is any better, its the pvp aspect that's different. You'll still find groups with high lvls in them, you still have to wait to get bh groups, etc.
Since you play on Harshlands, from what I understand that server is relatively small compared to some of the bigger ones, like Heavens Tear (PVE) and Lost City (PVP). You should try playing on them if you want to find more groups for quests and such.
As for which one to play on, it depends, do you plan on pking a lot or do you wish to stay as a blue name?

People still squad on PvP... it shouldn't be that different.

The key is to ask in the right places for squads. Regularly "Friend" players who you have had good dungeon runs with, and then hit up your Friends list when you want to go on one... having a couple clerics and barbs within pm distance saves a lot of time!

If you have a faction, don't be afraid to ask in faction chat if anyone needs a dungeon. more often than not, particularly in things like BHes (which you may have just started, if you found the quest NPC), multiple members of an active factions will need the same BH as you at any given time.

And then, of course, there's the center of Archosaur. This is where the npc for Bounty Hunters (BHes) is... it's a daily you can take, giving you nice rewards for taking out bosses a couple levels lower than you. A lot of people will stand around him and wait for squads to show up. Yeah, it can sometimes take a while, and it helps to be one of the more necessary classes (cleric and barb), but a little patience will generally pay off. My favorite part of BHes is that squads are generally at your level, and the dungeon is just challenging enough to require teamwork without being hair-pullingly frustrating (provided everyone knows their roles).

And, of course, very few quests in game are timed. If you can't find a squad right away, do some grinding mob quests and come back an hour later.

Personally, I prefer PvE servers, but I'm a real carebear, and don't like PvP all that much. If you really don't intend to PvP, I would switch to a PvE server just to help protect your stuff. Some PvP people like to gank unsuspecting players, unfortunately. b:surrender

It's quite impossible to find clerics for BH righ now in the lower level BH's. BH29, BH39, BH51, BH59, and BH69 have a shortage of clerics on Sanctuary. I've spent up to 4 hours a day waiting for a cleric for BH59. It's come down to someone from my faction running myself and whatever group I've found through BH59. Barbs for BH69 are hard to find too.

This is all on Sanctuary server.
    101 Sage Sin*/Archer
    100 Demon BM*/Barb
    96 Demon Cleric/Sage Seeker
    95 Demon Wiz/
    94 Sage Veno
    85 Psy/80 Mystic
And a handful of other alts, all 79 and under.

Then that is Sanctuary's problem because I was squaded up with 3 clerics in a bh59 group earlier. Although as a mystic I can somewhat substitute as healer, (though obviously not in places like bh69) I haven't had to resort to that role yet.
For classes like barbs, yeah, there isn't as many at higher levels, but if I recall correctly, its always been like that. Even before the tb expansion was released I remember that I always had to wait to find a decent barb to do bhs with. (back when it was one bh a day...)

you play on Harshlands, which is a fairly underpopulated server, so any lack of PvE is due to population size, not server type.

Btw, I think you were talking about Raging Tides (my server) when you said "river something." b:avoid

Interesting use (butchering) of the English language. :P

The only difference between a PvE and PvP server is the PvP. PvE is exactly the same on either.

props to you for wanting to actually play the game and wanting to experience the fun in squad dynamics. sadly, most of the low levels on our server now are power levelling their toons via FC and oracles (touchy issue, let's not get into that) so yeah, you may find it difficult to get a squad for your BH. but don't let this bring you down, just shout at the center arch platform for a squad, you'll get one sooner or later.
