What are the best items to buy from the botique? (Level 20 cleric)

I'm considering buying a few items from the botique. I don't want to end up dropping money on anything expensive that's useless to me, however. For a level 20 cleric, what are some good items to buy?

And also, I'm curious about the spurs of alacrity. Do they really lower a level 40 required mount down to level 20 required or am I misunderstanding it?

    At level 20?

    Absolutely nothing.

Land mounts simply aren't worth it in the long rung, btw. Don't waste money on them.

general advice: whatever you're interested in buying, look it up on the auction house to see if anyone's selling it for coins. then check the auction house's gold prices to see which way is cheaper. some things are easier and even cheaper to buy from the cash shop with gold, but often the best deal is to sell the gold for coin then buy second-hand gear from the auction house.

stuff guaranteed to be useful if you continue playing your character: maxed bank stone, maxed inventory stone. if you regularly play more than one character on the same server and account, then an account stash stone. flyers.

don't worry too much about level requirements on flyers and mounts; level up to 30 or 40 instead, it's not that hard. taking a higher-level-requirement gear and lowering the requirement on it (say, with spurs) is doable, but almost never worth it --- you can usually just buy a comparable, lower level requirement thing for less to begin with.

with flyers and mounts, people tend to factor their looks and rarity into the prices a lot. personally, i think this is stupid --- go for their utility value, look at their speed, ignore their aesthetics.

    In order...

Inventory Expansion. (Going straight to the super is cheapest)
    Bank expansion (Ditto)
Cupboard (but this is cheaper using tokens)
    A 3.3 flyer.

Also, you may wish to trade in for coin and play the market (gold is VERY high right now) - do you want money in the long run, or useful stuff now?

MP Charms can also be handy up until you start getting food at lvl 75, and they're not too expensive. Be sparing, though. Get the smaller charms and only put them on in instances when you need them, when managing MP the normal way just isn't cutting it.

The absolute worst thing that can happen to a squad is for the only cleric to run out of MP. Play smart.

honestly though, I wouldn't suggest to buy charms as they are bad practice in the game, however I would highly suggest to use apothecary food that restores MP. Not to mention, advanced spark helps in healing big amounts, and also recovers 10% your max MP.

@OP: since some people had made good advice, my advice is to not bother making any purchases from the boutique at this level (unless you want some fashion for your toon) as you might be unsure if you want to stick with being a cleric at later levels. However, some good things to save up for and get you rolling as you progress in levels are as follows...

-Faster wings (3.0+) when you get to level 50. (Note: if you already have leveled your "flight mastery" skill, you may want to reconsider because spell description doesn't not apply to any other wings except the natural white wings that were provided to you since the start of your character)
-wind widgets (if needed) to upgrade wings at level 50.
-packs (sunshine, coral, tiger) - I spend around 5 gold to buy packs, and use the tokens to buy herb yuanxiaos which are better alternatives to MP charms.
-Wedding pack (if you plan on getting married, but wait until they have a wedding pack sale)
-Mystical tome page (mat needed for tomes)
-bank/inventory upgrade stones. (Note: do not buy the one for the bank that opens up until max slots if you've done the banker's quest already)

hope this helps a bit. Good luck.
I quit PW and all its games it had to cater to me. I'm off playing a better pay-to-play game where I experience no glitches, no spamming LF squads, lose stuff in PK mode, lose exp on death or anything for cheaper price than what I paid for here. However, I'll still be lurking around pwi forums from time to time. Quit Date: March 4, 2011 RIP my beloved characters. b:bye

I agree that the Super Inventory Stone is the highest priority (either less time wasted going back and forth to bank/NPCs to free space or less wasted drops you have to leave lying around, plus more flexibility due to more room for gear, pots, etc...) and that the Super version is cheaper than the non-Super Inventory Stones. However, for the bank, if you do the two free bank expansion quests first, it's slightly cheaper to do all of the smaller bank expansion stones, rather than the Super Bank Expansion Stone.

Also, I'd say that after the Super Inventory Stone your next highest priority is some decent wings. For the three original races (human, elves, and untamed) it's cheapest to get the cheapest Boutique wings and then use the Wind Widgets to upgrade their speed. For the tideborn and earthguard, though, their wings aren't upgradeable, so choose wisely. You can sometimes find them cheaper in the Auction House than in the Boutique though.

After those three things, it depends on how you play as to what you'd get the most use out of next.
