Rubberbanding Acknowledged?

So the common belief is that the devs don't give a rip about bugs, such as rubberbanding. But they apparently know it's there. On one of the loading screens, it now says, "Hint: Don't stand on top of NPC's heads! You won't like it when they get angry!" or something to that effect. Forgive me if this is old news, I just noticed it.

And yet, they have autopath set to land you on npc's heads.

They've acknowledged it plenty of times. There used to be a huge sticky (it may still be around) for you to report areas that rubberband. That, and a few months ago the patch notes would say something along the lines of, "Fixed rubberbanding in ___________ area."
I think they're still working on it slowly, and just warning people how to avoid it in the mean time.

I see. Well, would appreciate if they worked a little faster. ^^ Thanks for clearing that up. (:

It's not just on npc heads tho, it's all over the place. Every time im at silverpool or west gate or OHT if i jump or run across a semi steep hill,(like the one near Skull Hunters in OHT) chances are i'll rubberband. It's so annoying when trying to pvp too. Once u get stunned it takes a lot of effort to try to un-rubberband urself and avoid getting stunlocked or killed.

I've died so many timed (3 times yesterday) because of this. It's pathetic that the devs can't fix something like this. PWI is the only game that I've played that rubberbands this bad at so many locations.

Once before as a lv 6 i am walking on a wall with npc just bellow it.
I only wanted to walk pass the npc and continue my journey.
Unfortunately i got trapped on the top of her head.

Yeah I get this too. If you try jumping down a hill or running kind of fast down it, you will rubberband. Also, I get it a lot when I land from flying. Now, I can play with no lag whatsoever, even in West Arch, so there is no excuse for the rubberbanding to happen. I doubt it will ever be fully fixed though.

yea come to think of it it happens alot when im landing. That being said I don't think its due to lag, I usually run @ 100-200 Ping at max nowadays. It still happens when im simply jumping around trying to avoid an unexpected sin attack, then maybe out 10 jumps I rubberband at least once.

It doesn't have anything to do with lag/ping. I *think* it has more to do with you moving faster than the game thinks you should, only it's not really working as intended.. lol
That at least seems to be the case when going down hills.
