Problem updating

Ok- I may be drunk but I'm not stupid. I've updated this game like a billion times since it came out. I've used manual and automatic patches.

On automatic update I am getting stuck at 99% on the elementclient.exe update.
It keeps downloading the same thing and when it finishes it says File download repeat error would you like to retry download and just keeps redownloading.

On manual patch I am getting a not recognized error message.

Help, plz?

OS: Windows 7, 1 TB memory 90% free, 4gigs ram, i5 processsor...
Client WAS updated during Genesis patch. I played before this patch.
Not sure what is wrong or what I need to do to fix it.
Advice appreciated.

Or soup. I'm quite fond of soup.

    someone told me to take out elementclient.exe from the element folder but its not in my folder. it worked for someone else so see if it will work for you.

    ah yeah problem solved, alright for those guys who had same problem u need to cut elementclient.exe and put it on a different folder. thank you so much :p

    yeah for some reason it wasn't showing up in my folder but now i found the stupid thing. so yeah totally works
