I have come to notice that seekers are actually very beneficial to Wiz in terms of TW 40 vs 40 pvp and general pve damage. Seekers have multiple debuffs that really benefit wizzies.

Seeker: lvl 86 Spirit: 773000 Coins: 1050000
Soul Shatter Level 10
Range 20 meters
Mana 60
Channel 1.0 seconds
Cast 0.5 seconds
Cooldown 180.0 seconds
Weapon Blade or Sword

Requisite Cultivation Transcendent

Casts a debuff on the target that lowers their Fire and Earth resistances.
The critical strike rate for Fire and Earth skills are increased by 50%, the damage is increased by 100%.
Lasts for 20 seconds.

Can only be cast on monsters.
Cannot be bound as your primary attack.

This skill lasts for 20 seconds and increases any fire or earth skill's crit rate by 50%! and DOUBLES the damage. so essentially ur going to be doing 4x ur normal damage for every skill

and..

Seeker: lvl 75 Spirit: 266000 Coins: 360000
Mind Shatter Level 10
Range 20 meters
Mana 60
Channel 1.0 seconds
Cast 0.5 seconds
Cooldown 15.0 seconds
Weapon Blade or Sword

Requisite Cultivation Aware of Discord

Casts a debuff on the target that lowers their Wood and Water resistance.
The critical strike rate for Wood and Water skills are increased by 30%. Lasts for 300 seconds.

Can only be cast on monsters.
Cannot be bound as your primary attack.

This skill is insane as well. Increases ur critical strike rate by 30% and it lasts for 5 minutes. So in TW if a seeker casts this ur BIDS is going to crit about 40% of the time(assuming u already have 10% base crit) . So yeah. Wizzies aren't dead

Also the SEeker aoe is messed up. It consumes 281 mana per second at level 1 and most seekers can't even keep up that much mana. Theres no way unless u charm. I heard that even charmed and potting seekers can't keep the aoe up for very long. So thats good news for wizzies i guess.

I had heard about these skills before the expansion. I'm glad to hear they are as good for us wizzies as we had hoped b:pleased

but I wouldn't consider the heavy mp cost for the seeker aoe a deal breaker. It will mainly be used for instances like FC where aoes are only needed for a few seconds at a time b:surrender

as bel said, the debuffs apply only in pve. pvp-wise, only cleric and archers will be benefited by the metal debuff which is not unique though.

also, there is a similar debuff for physical damage (30% max level) so, compined with the -20 defense level debuff i think that most seekers will look for a 5aps squad instead of a wizzie squad.

anyway, yes it makes the term "farming wizzie" a bit less of a joke but doesnt change the fact that, looking at the pve performance of the wizzies, it looks like devs were abused by wizzies when they were kids b:avoid

    metal/physical debuff is PvE only

I see these debuffs as an attempt for PWI to get casters into farming squads again.

It will be GG if allowed i think . . (b:chuckle)

And seeker more likely to spam their massive physical / metal aoe in TW.

i was reffering to the metal debuff of the Ion Spike
    Skill
    Ion Spike Level 10
    Range 20 meters
    Mana 124.3
    Channel 1.4 seconds
    Cast 2.0 seconds
    Cooldown 15.0 seconds
    Weapon Blade or Sword

    Requisite Cultivation Aware of Harmony

Attacks enemies within 12 meters of your target.
Deals metal damage equal to basic damage plus 150%
of weapon damage plus 3470.9. Has a 100%
chance to reduce enemies' metal resistance by 35%
    for 10 seconds.

    Costs 1 Spark

but yeah, these debuffs are an attempt to balance pve.
