Ever notice some of the strange things that don't line up or don't make any sense?

Like how, for a Perfect World, why are there so many freaking lost lover quests?

Or how the Untamed get Manta ray's and fish for fly mounts, but the water race gets bug wings. Guess Earthguard got kites just because they couldn't think of anything better at the time. I mean really, what do you give an underground race to fly? It's unnatural.

Anyone noticed any others? I had a couple but have forgotten them now. =P

    or how picking herbs and mining coal both seem to be done mainly by kneeling down to tie your shoes?

    Yeah a faction member the other days said EG was weird because they fly on kites. I thought to myself and Flying mantas, swords, gourds aren't?

    Or how The world is always in danger of being destroyed even tho it's perfect.

    How you use a pickaxe the get herbs..? xD

    How you can make a sword out of animal fur, some kind of thread and wood..?

    How you can make armour from antenna's.. some orbs.. a horn of fengs horse and some ultimate substance..?

    How skinny characters don't break their back over maxed ****... XD

    Oh how you only need to be lvl70 to become rank 5 but have to be 90 for the rank5 equips.
    Same thing with the rank 3/4 gears too.

    How do you make wine out of stone, lumber, steel and coal?

    Why is Lost City still called Lost when everyone knows exactly where it is?

    Why does City of a Thousand Streams not have 1k streams?

    Why don't the wraith actually attack the insides of towns?

    Why don't the npcs fight back when you hit them?

    Why we upgrade our bags with a stone ?
    Why we still go to npc if we can craft our own gears ?
    Usually if you know how to create, you also can fix it.

    How can veno pets and mounts survive on water, alone?

    Why do you need 5 tabby plumdrops to make a baby tabby plumdrop?

    Why do you need to kill 10 spiders to get 6 spider poison sacks? Shouldn't they be in all of the same species of spider?

    How does midriff-baring armor protect you from physical attacks?

    You mean things like that the best monster to kill for rough fur is a fish?

    Or that you don't need to eat, but your pets do?

    Or how about carrying 150+ lbs of armor (not including what's in your inventory) and being able to tread water but not jump more than a foot in the air when in a dungeon?

    Or on the subject of armor, that a bikini can cover up a robe?

    Or how the NPCs demand that you break off body parts and bring them back to them. I'm surprised that they're not like: "Oh my god, I was just joking about bringing back 30 horse heads! What the hell is this? Godfather? Some kind of snuff film? What the hell is wrong with you?!"

    Well, I'm sure the folks in Perfect World have no knowledge of the above references, but, still, I can only imagine their faces when you bring them horse heads and other random body parts.

    Also! Why are NPCs so damn lazy? I mean, like, they're maybe a few feet away and you are the one that has to mediate between the two of them?

    And last, but not least, why can't you kill Duke? Seriously, there should be a quest where you can feed Duke to some random monster and win Rank 10 armor.

    I know where the kites come from silly. The point is that a race that has lived underground for the past 1000 years would not have a method for flying.

    yeah, some of the inconsistencies ingame can be weird or just plain funny!

    *like the pastel pink fish mount...logicly, it should be a water mount for the TBs. and i had to laugh the other day-i happened to see one coming toward me, and it looked like it was running on the tips of its fins! for some reason, it doesnt seem that way when seen from the side, but thats how it looked when i saw it that day.

    * tiger and panda barbs riding tiger and panda mounts. great mounts, and i have and love both, but it kind of bothers me to see barbs riding them...a kind of enslavement of one of their own kind. so my tiger barb rides a panda, and my veno rides the tiger. and whats all that stuff on the panda's back, anyway? the gold things kind of look like ancient coins, but what are all the buckets? the ones in back sort of look like they have lit fireworks in them...maybe thats why he runs so fast-hes trying to get away from them before they blow up b:laugh

    *venos-we have foxes, dog-like ones (my guess is as good as yours for the one with the shorter tail and bigger ears. my daughter says hers is a German shepherd.), cats, kirins, (the ones with the pink horns-look at the kirin mount, and see the similarity), and ones with bat wings on the head and a devil tail....what the heck is that last one supposed to be? a demon? has anyone ever heard what the official Chinese name is for that one? i've been wondering about that one ever since i first saw it... and all transform into foxes. odd. i wish barbs and venos could turn into what they look like in their semihuman form, that would be really cool!

    *skills-speaking as a veno, which i play most-wouldnt you expect that when you carry and use a weapon that has a blade of some kind on it, like swords, and glaves, you would hit the mob with it, cutting it? instead, you throw some sort of liquid or powder at them, and from a distance, too. strange. i would have expected, when i first began playing a veno, that i would have skills based on the animal, like FR. but only barbs and pets have that.

    * one thing that my family always gets a laugh from is how all the PW characters can jump or drop from incredible heights, but never get hurt. another online game has you at least limp, and an old nintendo game, Shadowgate 64, if the character steps into a few inches of water, he drowns, or trips or falls even a foot or two, he dies! PW characters are supermen/superwomen, to drop or jump from ultimate flying heights, or cliffs, and never get hurt! amazing!b:chuckle

    * one quirk i always get a laugh from while doing World Quests is to see players stacked sometimes 5 or 6 high on top of an NPC,, where they have flown there, and autodropped. i have a file of screencaps of some of the funnier ones, like one i saw of trueform barbs, stacked 5 high, on an NPC, all at right angles, like the Lincoln logs toy.

    its funny little things like this that are one thing that give me a laugh, and keep the game fun.

    oh, and just have to share this one screencap i took a while ago. the panda mount, while far from elegant, is just funny to watch.."]wonder what he's thinking in this pic!!

    caves. really BIG caves.

    (honestly, the whole area around the fissure is one of the most graphically impressive parts of the expansion, whether you view it from ground level or from above. congrats to the devels and artists for that.)

    I have a logical answer to this. Because you need the item intact, and you sometimes damage the part of the creature you need during your onslaught!

    i have no clue. LA up till lvl 70-ish generally covers the upper body accurately ^^ but AA and 70+ armor? wth, something that barely covers your **** is NOT valid armor b:cry

    i think the origin story was that they came from somewhere underground. but why the EB didnt clean them out before coming 'upstairs, is anyones guess.
