Damn, archers was long time like invalid because all push skills not working in PVP. And now new race released and what?! They hav our push b:angry b:cry b:angry

    Yeah, I noticed that today. Mystics get push back in PVP, while wizards and archers and psychics, and ALL the other classes dont. What gives? Nothing against Mystics, but if they get push back, why cant my wizard have it too?

    I think it's actually a chance to knockback the enemy. A friend of mine dueled a mystic a few times and the knockback worked only once or twice.

    Archers are so epic that we don't need knockback b:chuckle Though a knockback would mean kiting BMs all day long b:dirty

    it would mean cata barbs not being able to leaving their base due to being pushed back

    Well....i dont think it'd b that easy for them to push back cata barbs....i think they'd b next to r9 people in 'people-to-gank-first-in-tws' list .......

    If we think hypothetically, stun and freeze might also keep catapult pullers from leaving their base, but for some reason they still manage to get out of their bases.

    that's incredibly short sighted.
    If your cata barbs can't leave your base because they are being pushed back by Archers and Wizards, then getting those barbs out the gate is not your main problem.
    Really, it isn't.
    The sittuation of defending and being able to push back an etire squad might worth a bit of discussion, but it's not that dramatic, I would just add a new dimension to the game.

    Personally I'd prefer a Distance Shrink or a Leap skill on archers instead lol

    the question isn't about cata barbs leaving the base it is if a group of these mystics push them in all sorts of directions will the cata fall apart?

    Problem with Push Back in pvp would be if you cant defend it. I honestly dont know how the Mystic skill works in PvP. Would a free moment skill, like Maze Steps, WoG or Will of B prevent getting Pushed Back? If not its definitely stupid.

    If the Knocks Back from Tornado (or w/e its called) isn't labeled as a "negative status effect" and not a movement status effect either, it really is MegaQQ for mele classes.

    I mean you wont be able to use skills/genie/pot to prevent getting pushed backed. The channeling is almost instant and its not that long cooldown either. Stuns, seals, paralyzes etc can all be avoided rather easy but how would you counter a knock back? I guess BMs can use Leap and get back in mele range rather fast, sins can use their teles. But what about barbs getting knocked back b:shocked

    I think its probably one of those things that will change in future patches tho, but who knows, tideborn self-buffs still cant get purged for example.

    I don't think it'd be that big of a problem IF mystics have few other disables. If they lack readily available seal, sleep, stun, freeze like other classes and this is the only thing they have, then whatever is all I gotta say. If they have plenty of disables already then it's problematic. Personally I haven't looked at their skill tree yet because logging onto a Mystic at starter areas lags too much for me lol.

    Wizards have an instant channel 5.0s stun with 0.5s cd?

    Wizard instant channel aoe stun only lasts 3 seconds, has a fifteen second cooldown and has a 50% success chance, though it does have a 12m radius from the caster (and your wizard's target needs to be within that radius). But, it's only available to demon wizards. I do not think we have seen sage/demon mystic skills yet.

    Edit: but what are the costs on this pet skill? I do not see mystics out there chain stunning anything, and this would seem to be a great tanking ability in squad.

    And pray tell me how many of your demon wiz friends actually use emberstorm to stun people? I do believe you left out the part where it drains your hp.

    it doesn't need to. Don't channel that junk for the full duration lol. Activate Emberstorm and hold down on the hotkey to let it cast without charging. It will only hit for base damage, but will not drain a lot of hp and still has a chance to stun. Archers would use an uncharged Take Aim to gain 15 chi quickly, so Emberstorm can be used the same way.

    A friend tested this, and indeed the stun does activate even on uncharged Demon Emberstorm. It's range is short, but it's still a chance stun that takes no chi and casts quickly.
