as you're considering using Pots, I'm assuming you know where to get them. If the apparent choice overwhelmed you, did you check the level requirements on each of the pots on offer? for your level there's kinda not that much choice when you look at it.

Generally go with the highest potion available for you and buy an amount that lets you play for as long as you see reasonable before buying potions again.

Or just party play with a Mystic and let them heal you.

I feel like I'm stating the obvious here.

um, if you are a lvl 8 seeker and you are being *** kicked by mobs then make sure you have the latest heavy armor from a tailor because the armor you get at lvl 2 is very weak by lvl 8

also make sure you're allocating your stat points (STR, DEX, VIT)

What I do with all new chars I make is work on my apothecary to make life powders. It makes questing in the lower levels a lot faster, and when you meditate, you can get full hp in seconds. Either buy life powders or make them yourself. I practically never buy potions anymore when they almost literally grow on the ground. b:chuckle

TIP: Harvest any nearby materials when you do quests. It eventually adds up. Sell or use the materials; your choice.

(Life powder materials are 15 nectar and 10 golden herbs.) b:victory
