Runecrafting way too UP

That's right, it's UNDER powered. At grade 1 it takes 4 common gems to make 1 that gives a 30 min buff. This makes grade 1 runes like 60k which more than the most expensive apothecary for something as unnoticeable as +5 dex.

At the highest grade 7 we get into having to use flawless shards for a buff that gives either +3 attack level or +17 dex. We're talking about spending like a few hundred K for buff that is much less effective than a simple barb buff.

The highest grades are just way too weak. They need to be like 5 times stronger for people to be able to notice a difference.

    Not to mention getting the chi stones is going to be a pain in the ***.

    Like, I need level 3 or 4 chi stones right now, how am I supposed to get them?


    Decompose gear? What gears? Any I would get as a drop are going to give p. stones. I could craft gears but where am I going to get the mats? Any mats that drop from mobs my level are going to be high level and the gears they make are going to decompose for p. stones.


    The only real option is to buy them. Which can get very expensive.

    talk to the friendly lowbies in your guild, i suppose. craft runes for them in return for the chi stones they get when decomping.

    could get iffy if your guild is all high levels, i guess. myself, even, i suspect i'll be getting much use of my low-level alts and my account stash stone.

    Lowest levels in my guild are the 15 or so 9x we have, the rest (about 180 ppl) are 100+

    I don't need the low level runes to use, I need to make them to level up runecrafting.


    They should make it so you can decompose perfect stones into lower level ones, or use p stones as a substitue for lower level ones.

    Gather lowest mats, use them to make level 2 or 3 rings and polearms (require no mob drop mats to make), decomp them to yiyuan stones, combine those to make the chi stones you need.

    Or, you know, buy NPC gear that decomp to the stones you need.

    or they could have deliberately chosen it this way, to make runecrafting into a "lowbies feed highbies" trade incentive; to increase the value of chi stones lowbies can get from decomping, as trade goods.

    naah, who am i kidding... that would've taken actual forethought on their part.

    If runecrafting buffs survive death and cannot be purged, they might be worthwhile for some situations.

    Well, thanks for info. Really useful thread (unlike some here >.>). Well, I rather have RS add a small additional than an overkill one (like +12 for example). G7 isn't that bad IMHO. Besides, it is adding additional stats which can add to really good stats to certain gear no? It cannot be underpowered if the stats on nirvana gear is overpowered. Just don't give the devs any ideas to actually boost this any higher because they will make the game too easy. b:cold

    Well looks like someone don't know how to easily get chi stones. I get chi stones like nothing and no I do not need any support to get them. b:chuckle But I can't tell you my secret how to get them FOR FREE. b:chuckle b:quiet

    It is not looting PK drops.
    I, II and III spark is the most cheesiest skill in PWI and it should be removed or massively nerfed.

    Well getting them chi stones will be a pain yea, thankfully i still have 600 grade 1 chi stones on my bank char, which ill upgrade into the grade 2 stones and etc, only way i can think to get em is doing that, starting off farming a buncha level1 ores like sandstone etc, making crapy weapons like for the level 1 blacksmith quest, hope for a lot of 2 stars, break em all down and so on.

    I have 600 stones from 1 farming *spree* that i did for about 1-2 hours, that was it, if i wanted more I could easily get em, grats on the 4k+ stones?

    What? The line between a non cash shoppers and a cash shopper.... Insane gear or **** gear.... Only thing you need already is a credit card to roll your face on the key board and win. I've seen 5.0/30K BMs/Barbs that don't know what most of their skills do or how they effect another but yet they'll **** you in the mouth in PK. b:shutup Why even try? Only thing I've found that is still any fun is PK and all that is a battle of wallets. +12 r9 or Death. Only 2 options.
