Initial impressions

Well after a bit of play today on my seeker i've managed to get him to level 20. Enjoyed it so far, it's nice to play something slightly different and I like the new Earthguard areas. A bit less lag would be nice but what can you expect on the first day of a new expansion? b:chuckle
I'm a little concerned about the HP - having played Barbarian a bit I was expecting something a bit more impressive for Seeker. Not quite as high as Barb obviously, but it seems a little low to me. Also a bit disappointed with the chain debuff skill that I have so far; it doesn't seem to proc very often during battles but that might just be my luck. I know the chance is only around 10-15% but I reckon I've seen it a bit less than that today. Also I was expecting numerous skills to be used in chains, and from looking at the skill tree it seems like it's only really a chain of 2 skills - one a self buff and one a damaging technique. I was hoping for a series of like 4 or 5 skills which when all active would totally cripple an enemy - would make boss fights a bit more interesting.
I do however like Seeker so far - it feels more interactive than alot of the other classes I have played. Looking forward on the skill tree to the defensive buffs and AoE skills which I think could make a Seeker pretty useful. Also has anyone considered the possibility of Seeker being a massive skill-spammer by using that channeling decreasing skill? I'm not sure what sort of decrease and duration is possible at higher levels of it but that could be interesting.
Anyways my 2 cents on the class so far. I'd be interested to hear what any higher level Seekers think about it, and also anyone who has tried it out in PvP as all my experience so far is with PvE.

Well, i'm at level 22 at the moment, and i must say, the skill tree fits the character perfectly. We have a warrior armed with blades and swords (oh, sorry, claymores XD) that must chain its skills to kill an enemy. Chaining skills will surely provide a more ponderated gameplay instead of click and die (as 5 aps characters...) players. Seekers = Chain Combo Lock, it's like a Bm that must return to it's origins (with stun lock) or an assassin that must figure out what to do because of its squishisness (well, as long as we don't consider the r9, 5 aps etc. etc. that transform a fighter in a mechanic thing). Damage is very low considered to what we expected, but after all, this may be just my impression, considering that i'm not levelling my skills above 1 to do not find out that what i leveled is useless with my playstile.
Seekers have party buffs that costs 1 Mirage celestone and lasts for 30 minutes... Should i say something about this? It's a waste!!! I ignore how much the bonuses of attack and defense level will grow with the skill leveling, but let's consider that:
1) They can't be active all together at the same time.
2) They requires 1 mirage celestone
3) They last only for 30 minutes
4) They are not usable with Runes bonuses...
Why should i use them? With the new Rune system implemented i'd like to power up my weapon with Rune buffs, and i discover that i can't use my buffs for this? It's a contradiction!
Also, it's a waste using the debuffs skills only on monsters!! As far as i see, Seekers are Duel Fighters. This chain skills all focus on a single target at tthe time, making it very weak, but only one at the time. They compensate the chain skills with AOE attacks, but they costs sparks and are not usable often. But using these debuffs only on monsters makes them very reliable on PVE party, but not so good on Pvp like other classes.
I like the channeling skill. It makes the Seeker capable of becoming a destructive chainer. 6 seconds of pure ownage. Well, looks like we all need to visit our Macros friend and setup our chains0 -
though I only lvled my seeker to 15, I've probably enjoyed this melee class the most out of my alts. maybe if it get even better at high levels I might consider it my new main. and the ranged skill I got so far I enjoy on account of my utter loathing for ranged monsters b:victory0

Im here on lost city lvl 24 seeker and what I have personally seen from the playstyle and skills, and damage output thus far has left me somewhat unimpressed. Aside from it being something new its counterpart(mystic) outplays and outperforms on so many levels its absurd
at lvl 24 with my skills maxed with the lvl 20 stash weapon I do roughly 300 dmg per normal hit, and about 500s on my spells/skills
the same level mystic in a squad i was just in was hitting 700-1000 per hit herself while her pet was doing 300 as well
her damage intake was minimal while i was taking over half health per mob
So far it seems a very long, boring drawn out expensive(pots, repair) class to play compared to what was here before. I shall however keep playing I wanna see if they get better after 29 cause even sins suck major **** before 29 and look at them endgame.....0 -

the same can be said for any mage class vs there melee counterpart. a veno vs barbarian was the same way. it was insanely painful to lvl up a barb compared to a veno and it still is. just lvl them up higher and u might start to see the class ease up more once u get ur aoes and other more dmging skills going.0 -
Yea Mystic is too much like Veno for my liking - sure it's fast and easy to level to begin with but it seems boring just sending your pet after stuff, nuking a little bit and healing every now and then. Personally I think Seeker is more fun - just got the metal and physical resistance debuff skill and it's great - got alot of time for this class. Even more chain skills at 29, looking forward to them!!0

Well, yes I suppose you are all right to some degree, I guess I am just more of the "instant gratification" type. Its hard when I am trying to do my 20-30 culti quests(which you all who have done know how much it sucks) and im sittin watching some mystic kill the mobs with ease while I on the other hand am struggling to kill that pyrogloth apprentice and have to run away cause i agrod 2 werewolf spearmen.....pathetic, I cannot even attempt gameplay right now with the clogged leveling areas with the 101's dual logging and kill stealing....my seeker is still 24 and probably will be cause i get 2 mob kills in and say "EFFF" this and log my sin....im spent staying sin and loving it....
