The online/offline status for faction members in the faction list was perfectly fine. What's this idea of putting Offline when a member is not online? It makes it far more difficult to see who is online. I have no idea whose brainwave this backward step is - but please change it back!!

    See the thing is, they realized the didn't actually add a damn thing to improve the game. Understanding that, they had to make a bunch of minor needless changes to make it look like this expansion actually "improved" the game.

    If you find it difficult to notice who is Online, you can sort the member list in various ways, you can sort by name, level, position and of course, Online and Offline status. Personally, I make use of that option even before they added they made the Offline status 'visible', because its extremely helpful to see who's Online rather than having to look/scroll through 200 members for it.

    I Highly suggest you make use of that option, it'll make your life easier and calm your nerves too b:mischievous

    I already use the sort by status option, but it's not as easy to see where the online people finish and the offline people start now.

    Its just plain stupid to show the "offline" status. If ur not online ur offline.
    Just show 1 of the status not both.

    Or even changing the colour of either offline or online would help...i swear if the pw devs had 2 braincells to rub between them they'd be extremely dangerous.

    Yes we do know list can be sorted by any of the columns, at least I hope we all do. But I still have to read one's status now. Before was much easier with no offline status written it's much faster to see where the list of online members ends.

    Yea...I always sort to who's online...so was there really ANY need to add offline status?!?!

    I see everything from 10' away on my 40" LCD TV...now I can't decipher who's on unless I walk up to the TV, or look at the # of players online and count down the list!! b:angry b:angry

    I agree with this suggestion. Make the offline folks standard text, while those online can be boldened. Or grey them. Something. The font used makes Online and Offline too similar at a glance. This is an ACTIVE game, you don't always have time to look with a fine toothed comb for your factionmates who are online; you spend too much time looking at text and you get flat pretty quickly!

    i have this same complaint, it is one of the few things i really dislike about the new UI. something needs changed to make it easier to tell between the online and offline people again

    It is WAY HARDER to tell wether someone is online or not now. Like previously said I actually have to look way closer now to tell if a person is online or not. Please leave offline people's status back to blank.

    I agree with this. Did you know that the brain doesn't actually read a word from start to finish? Rather it takes in certain letters and then kind of assumes what the word is. Since there isn't much difference between "Offline" and "Online" it is a bit of a pain in the bum. So I agree with the suggestion of different colours or simply greying "Offline" so it is clearly different from the "Online" status.

    It may be a dumb QQ... but it's a valid QQ.... and i can't believe i just said QQ..... 3 TIMES.. rofl

    I logged on today after updating and hit the guild list and i was like wow there's alot of people online...... then i sorted it by lvl then status like i do, and I' sitting there for a minute like .. something's off here..... then i look at the #'s.... 1/189 people on. So i look closer at the list, it didnt' even dawn on me that it never SAID offline b4 till i saw this thread rofl.... Ya it was a **** load easier b4 this....

    routine thing for me to do: open guild list, click on "online" to sort by that column, scroll down to where the "online" words end in a blank column; then scroll back up reading the names to see who all's on. i do this soon after logging in each time i do log in.

    tried this right after i updated the client, and never found the bottom. WTF, says i, there's only 15 people on, but... ah. AH, says i, they fscked up yet ANOTHER thing.

    now instead of quickly eyeballing to find the extent of the list i have to read, i have to read word for word down one column just to find the terminating entry of what i have to start reading to find out what i want to know. this IS more work, it DOES take more time, and it's not QQing to say it pisses me off when it DOES **** me off.

    They actually made irrelevant side of the game less enjoyable? No, more of pain in the ***, made the function pretty much simply irritating. There was no reason to change it and all reasons to not change it, hence it`s pretty valid QQ as far as those go.

    Agreed. I sort by online status yes, but it is still now difficult to see where one ends and the next begins. And as for what one person said about color change, just, no--- that would make the roster even more harsh on the eyes (because face it people, we know they will pick neon yellow or something). Remove the offline, end of story. It wasn't there before and is not needed now.

    LOL u spent a bit on that post huh? but ya that pretty much shows how annoying it is to differentiate..... especially if your'e that one guy that sits ten feet away playing on a 40" screen tv or w/e he said. LOL he has to walk up to the tv just to read the list.....

    either make the text for online green or take offline players off again.... which ever one can be done with the least amout of time... i do wonder which dev though it would be a good idea... i can see one guy bring this topic up and the others one goes "BRILLIANT...     It is possible that the developers are adding a new feature to have an "Idle" or "Away" status. This would necessitate a status for "Offline", as well. If they are implementing this feature in a step-by-step fashion, and furthermore are doing it and testing it in Chinese first, it's actually a reasonable mistake to make. This is just theory.

    Many times it looks right in the original language, then when you get the translations the developers / testers briefly ensure it behaves correctly and go with it. Aesthetically it lacks something, so all the complaints in this thread are valid. But I do not believe the severity of the criticism is warranted for a somewhat subtle flaw made in a language that is not the original.
