if the summon can't be de-summoned or stowed without logging off or letting it die... then i'm going to assume it would be useless to try to lure with it. Correct me if im wrong on my assumption/discuss why they chose to do this?

Yep. As far as I've learned from previous forum posts, Mystic summons can lure. Instead of calling your pet back to the bag like the veno, you summon your summon once more. This will make the summon appear right next to you and will make the summon fighting with the mob dissapear.

A veno pull is a two click operation, three if you count targeting. From the sound of it, a mystic pull is a two click operation. Again, three if you count targeting. How is this any more convenient?

Single click. One click on the skill and that's it. The summon will reappear next to you while other one disappear. They only got 50% hp though.

Thinking it through a bit more, it's four clicks for the veno...
    click 1: target mob
    click 2: pet attack
    click 3: stow pet
    Click 4: re-summon

    The mystic would be:
    click 1: target mob
    click 2: pet attack
    Click 3: re-summon

    Yes, I'm nitpicking. b:chuckle

It's roughly a half second for the veno's pet to de-summon, and about a 1.5 second channel to re-summon. The mystic summon is a 1.5 sec cast, so you're saving one click and a half a second of time. In most practical situations, the difference likely won't matter.

Half hp on the mystic summon isn't a big factor unless whatever is tanking fails to pick up the mob, though it might affect the turnaround between pulls slightly. Unless things have hit the fan, the next spell the mystic fires off would likely be a pet heal.

of course sending in a veno pet to lure (say a Petalii which can cast slow) then casting your tank is exactly the same as what a mystic does with double summons ... only the tank comes back at full health not half. This is what I do to lure... I also don't care if the Petalii dies (Yeah she hates me lol)

Yes, but it isn't a pause after the pet is stowed, that part is right there vs veno you have to wait to for cast while you have the mob/boss running at you. If you cast resummon right as he gets up to boss (hasn't hit yet), it will resummon after first (sometimes second) hit.

Though, about the time difference, shouldn't REALLY matter. And if your squad has a problem with the time difference ... they really need to take some chill pills.
