Your worst mess up as the Tank.

Well my first time posting like this. My worse mess up as tank happened today. I was tanking a BH 51 and we were at Wyvern. The cleric blue bubbled and I move in to get Wyvern. Only problem is I go outside blue bubble without realizing it till to late. Wyvern curses me and kills me so fast hehe.

    I really prefer the cleric stack IH on me then follow me in as I grab aggro and set up bb near me, after the boss is started. Having the barb grab aggro and pull into bb without heals is somewhat a pain and sometimes aggro will change after you reamed and started running back to bb.


    Anyway, I just went claw barb and lost about 1.5k hp (had high dex previously, anyways). I'm a lvl 100 barb with only 13k hp. Luckily my weapons are refined well and I'm at a point to start increasing the refines on my armor and I should have a few thousand more hp shortly.

    But as a clawbarian its important for me to show people I can do everything a vit barb can do, only better. So when I die its always embarassing. Most recently was during Delta, only stage 1-3. I'm rounding up the mobs, haven't invoked yet, and I noticed the mobs stopped following me. I stop, hit invoke,...nothing. Mobs aren't moving. No skills are working... LAGGGGGG. About 15 seconds later my hp goes from mostly full to zero, and the mobs are already attacking my squad. Psychics dead, BM is half dead, cleric had apparently dropped bb and ran. Could have been recovered if cleric hadn't dropped bb. Anyways, I started getting pm's about having a "no vit" barb. Of course as a clawbarb I still have about 80 vit. We reformed squad with new cleric and a few new DDs and I pulled BH Delta 3 at spawn point, everything went super smooth but everytime I die as a clawbarb I feel extra self concious. Having another 10k hp wouldn't have saved me from lag, but still...
    Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory

    Been Playing this game a while so have a few epic facepalm moments.

    taking the wrong pillar after running quests in gamma. Was really tired thoughb:surrender

    Back before hypers we were trying really hard to get in delta range by running fc with eso.
    There was not really a set way to do the pulls back then and the way we did it at the slasher boss was me pulling hall+room out to hallway. I dont really have any idea how it could happen, but I managed to get the boss also, which I didnt notice before reaching BB with 30 mobs and a fatty screaming SUPER...POWERFUL...MIGHTY...WHIRLING...SLASH!

    Caused wipes in delta quite a few times also before I figured out all the tricks.

    But really dying and squad wipes are a part of the game and the learning experience. ppl really need to not take it so seriously sometimes.

    I've never made a mistake in my life.

    And personally speaking as a barb, I prefer the cleric doesn't BB on Wyvern - the only reason I can see for it is a cleric too slow to spam heals, purify, and toss out a party heal now and then at the same time.

    Hehe heya - yeah i have a barb but he's only level 81 - keeping him in gamma range.

    Sometimes its hard to follow barb because clerics are slower then barbs. We run slower ... its fact. And if barbar will not tell us when he start moving ... it cost some time. Clerics like stay in max range so this is my point of view.

    I always QQed alot when the clerics couldnt keep up with me. But now since I can hold a bunch of mobs on me, who needs a cleric? :P

    I can't say it was ever a mess up. Just the clerics fault.... b:chuckle
    It's a game and I'm proud to be a stupid fail demon barb!
    My EPIC Fail Demon Barb has 40k/48k HP and my stat points are as follows:
    VIT 552 STR 310 DEX 60! b:surrender

    I once left my Barb AFK when I had to go to my lectures for University, my boyfriend was staying over at my place and got on to play my barb and tanked a full GV with my 3vit barb without me knowing.

    He has never played a barb before.

    Once I tanked a boss in my sleep.

    Soulripper in 2-3, I was low 8x at the time, went on and used a flesh ream macro and then fell asleep.


    I've done this a few other times where it didn't work out so well.


    Oh and one time I was doing a delta, we started it and as I was waiting for mobs I alt tab and check out forums. Came back later to find out that the first 2 waves have already passed.

    On my first time in TT 2 - 2 i was out of BB range twice in a row while tanking wurlord:beatup

    I should realy stop tanking things at four in the mourning

    Worst tanking experience...probably when I was solo'ing fb19 back when I was 7x and got distracted while eating breakfast.

    Before hypers NV gears gx axes where so called end game axes....

    At 90+ doing sa fb 51 for my son gf(gf in game).....

    Thinking i was almighty casue i was 90+ i went on a kiling spree on mobs wihout runing so fast and ignoring the cleric who ofc was too slow for my tiger form result i dyed...

    90+ barb with +5 gears even helm boots and +6 gx with garnet gem dyed from a 3 mobs gank in fb 51QQ

    Was so ashamed that i told squad that my pc froze for 30 sec and i didnt saw wt happened b:laugh

    One of my most memorable fails, was about 5 months ago (last time I played my barb seriously). During a BH Delta the party had decided it was safest for the barb and bm do the running quest for extra beans since we were doing wave 3 and it was a pug.

    Well, after turning in the last quest, I ran to the pillar to tp back to the main room with the rest of the squad....only to accidentally leave the instance instead. Wave 2 stun mobs came, and proceeded to r@pe the **** out of the squad while I could only sit and watch squad icons. >.<

    Needless to say, I wanted to crawl into a hole after doing that in an instance I've ran a thousand times. b:surrender

    b:laugh Most memorable fail was during the FC I ran right after hitting one hundred. For some reason during FCs, me lagging = death. Could be 200 mobs, could only be 2. But I go black screened and BAM. Dead.


    Most epic fail was my first time in TT1-1 I was on my barb doing my thing got to drummer.. Had the graphics cut down so low I couldn't see him channelling. Anyhow, BB dropped cause the cleric was like... the king of squish. XD Squad got wiped out before I did though. Invoke and sunder for the win. :victory Btw he was at the last 34k when I dropped. b:cry

    I've made a lot to mention all them here lol. Worst? Lagging cause of my computer at the big pull in FC (The one after the bishop boss), had like 13k ping and you know how it finished.
