Genesis: Guild Banks/Storage?

Googled around and I cannot find an answer to this. Guild Bases seem to have a bunch of interesting things inside of them, but nowhere can I find mention of a Guild bank or storage. Does anyone know if this will implemented? Or have I been completely missing one that already exists? *looks under rock near Banker*

A lot of games I've played before had some form of guild storage and I was surprised PW didn't, but its not a tremendous deal.

There's not a lot known about the new "Guild Bases" (I think they should be called "Faction Bases", but whatever), but so far no info suggesting that they come with a built-in bank.

Most factions just make a few "bank" characters with maxed inventories that the leader has access to where the faction goods are stored.

Not if access to the bank is regulated by people of a certain rank. Even with that compromise, it's a lot better than not having one. Otherwise, you have to wait on one single person with one single alt to access the "bank".

Not really. On my old game you could donate any items or coins, but you had to be given access to be able to 'withdraw' any items. In other words, you had to have a title to have access to the 'withdraw' option on the vault, which was 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in command.
However, everyone did have access to see the list of things IN the bank, coins and materials. This also let everyone know what items the faction was in need of, and what they had more than enough of without always asking someone.

I would love to see this option on PW.

Most games I've played that had a guild base it was set so members had to be of a certain rank to access it.

I was actually wondering about this as well and seriously hope that they do have or come up with something like that. Where maybe just the guild leader and whoever they grant access to are able to alter or remove things from the bank but everyone can see the content. It would also be nice if they could make deposits to the bank.

Right now my guild has three characters on my account that we use for storage and it's really inconvenient to try and keep track of which items go to which bank character. Not to mention I can't play those character as their safe/inventories are full.

Yes, the bank would definitely have to be set up so only certain ranking officers of the Faction can withdraw items. Or even have it so the Leader can set a withdrawal limit per able member. So only X items and X gold can be withdrawn within 24hrs by each individual. Optional, of course. Might be too complicated, but it could help stave off abuse and give the Leader control.

In Atlantica Online members were able to donate money. This money was to help pay for regular guild costs that were automatically deducted from the funds by the game. Something similar to this would be neat, although I don't need PWI taking any of it. Lots of members in AO would donate what they could to help out and it was nice.

If making storage alts is the only way I guess it will have to work until something better is implemented. If something better does come along.

I thought I read somewhere to day that the Faction Bases had their own currency for stuff purchased in the base but not outside the base. But as far a a secure banking system I guess they got enough brains to build this game but not enough to figure how to make a secure banking system in game. Just for giggles, I'll give it a shot... create a system where the Leader could control who (by Password) would have access to a limited amount and others could make contributions. As a leader I want to know who and how much they contributed to the faction. Also to prevent the leader from running away with all the money it could be set up so minimum of 3 players (not characters) would have to agree to very large withdrawals. the idea of base currency does have some merit but there should be a way to convert it to game currency so the faction can make game item purchases.
Well all this is just smoke on the water cause at this point I'm never going to get a base for my faction with the way it is set up now.

They should have binding charms for guild gear. So that it can be checked out of the armory like a library book but the leader can recall it at any time and it can't be taken with you out of the guild (goes back into the guild bank if you leave guild).

There'd have to be a safety lock on the gear so only officers can refine / add shards I guess.

OMFG that is genius, no one has ever done that before, characters named bank, herb donations, armoury, etc. i think this will really catch on b:chuckle

also have to love how mr moderator says "there's not a lot known about the "new "guild bases" (i think they should be called faction bases)". do you get paid for this wonderful grammatical insight of yours?

on that same note: YEAH not a lot is known. there is 17-page and counting thread on this with NO MODERATOR RESPONSES, yet you have the time, and GAUL to be #2 on this one with an answer any one of the trolls could have had tons of fun with great job instituting a new feature without knowing what is does!!!

but on the serious side: asterelle has a GREAT IDEA about guild gear.b:thanks
