faction members merit points

After the Genesis came out i saw that when u look at faction members u see that is added some merit points. I was wondering whats all those merit points about , how do u earn them and if they got any use for it beside that showing who helps more ( i guess thats all about it but im not sure )b:cute . Thanks in advance for answering this if possible.b:thanks

    From what I understand, merit is the contribution a player has earned through the guild bases.

    Hall of Loyalty

    Where you'll find Faction-centric quests that reward with Contribution.

    By completing faction quests members can gain Contributions. By spending Contribution and coins, players can purchase gears or take special quests. The total Contribution a player has compiled is called Merit.

    When your Merit reaches a certain level, you will gain access to purchase or exchange quests. You can check your faction merit in the Faction Menu.

    Hey just asking but what do u do with faction contribution points? Please tell me soon cause

    I believe they are used for the upkeep of your base... don't quote me on that though...

    I know that anyone can get them, as long as you can pick up the quest from the Faction Base Manager in eastern Archosaur, near (meaning across the walkway from) the Faction Manager.

    From the Faction Base located in each of the major cities, you can obtain quests. Upon completing these quests, you will have earned Merit and Contribution. Merit is a running total of ALL of your completed Base Quests, while Contribution can be used to obtain special buffs, gears, EXP Quests, and more.

    Because Contribution is consumable, it should be treated like money. No worries, though... your Merit will only increase and will never decrease unless you leave your faction.

    I was able to to get those quests even though we do not have a base yet, several months ago after an update, I can no longer get them
