Step 1: Run the client until you get the normal run screen.

Step 2: Download this file.
http://pwi-ns.perfectworld.com/patches/manual/ec_patch_468-484.cup

Step 2a: You may need to tell it to 'manually' select the server out of "Automatically Update Client" & "Automatically Resume Update" just to stop the client from 'automatically grabbing the files from PW's location

Step 2b: You may need to wait a bit at the front end for MANUAL update button to light up.

Step 3. Disconnect your network card port - i.e Disable your internet connection.
(You can even pull out the cable if you want)
Now on the Perfect World client screen click "Manual"

Step 4. Click the location of the file "ec_patch_468-484.cup"
The client will then go through a whole lot of MD5 checksums in the CUP file and update the main client

Step 5. Once thats done. Enable your Network Connection again.

This may help the numerous people who have corrupted files from the auto update website/whos updaters are stuck/ etc

    You can do your five steps in one

    1) Download the manual patch (Click the "open with option") and wait.

    It will download the patch then update.

    Delete the patch notes in your "Download" file as 1.1gig is a big file to keep lying around
