Barbs? (look up)

The new forum layout seems nice!
What I noticed is that besides the new class/race, there is a barbarian on top of the forums:P

I see a bit of his armor, so I take it as a barb, not a mystic's pet.

Does that mean anything? Like barbs will come back and all? Or is it.... just a design?

    That Barb looks really angry... I think Earthguard skills are too OP for him. XD Maybe he's jealous. :P

    just read Kanto's patch notes and since there is no mention whatsoever of any modification to Agro mechanics or a nerf to APS, i think its safe to say the Barb is still gonna have a horrible time in any party over 9x and therefore nothing has changed for barbs b:surrender

    Only if said barb is unable to adapt to change.


    Protip: barbs wont ever be tanking at endgame again IJS. Even if aggro was changed so they COULD tank, there's no point when a DD can tank and provide a faster boss kill. Even if APS was nerfed, we would have archers tank.

    Heard they were adding in female model barbs and hundreds of unique fashion combinations for them,watch the barb population rise like the asassins.

    This picture of a barb is actually pretty old and was featured in PWI: Lost Empire actually.

    I am more worried about the earthguard having daggers. . .b:byeb:byeb:surrenderb:surrender

    well if u look at the char on the right close to the barb it's an earthguard char whit daggers?...b:surrenderb:quiet

    Yes, we had a veno with daggers before.

    Did venos get the ability to wield daggers? No.
    Will seekers get the ability to wield daggers? No.

    I was anwering the original question... (in a roundabout way).

    No barbs will not be making a comeback, because nothing has changed to make barbs a desirable class again... There will always be a few of us lingering around cos we like traditional play style, but I guarantee you there will still be QQing in WC "Where are all the barbs??"
    There are no new barbs, because Sins = OP and probably very soon Seeker = OP.

    and for any troll/nerd who is gonna comeback with some bs about why sins are NOT OP, instead, go to HeadHunter at any given moment, and count how many sins there are in comparison to other classes... thats right 2 to 3 times more sins than ANY other class... numbers dont lie...

    All true. But I think, the problem is not that barbs don't exist. It's rather, they do exist, but everyone has stopped playing them and rolled a Sin instead. They actually are around, but on alts. Being a barb is just not rewarding these days. Same with other classes. I barely see mages or Archers around, but West Arch is always crowded and smells like fish. . .

    The first class I ever played in this game was a barb, I tried to make it look like that. When I noticed I couldn't even change the color of the fur, I didn't bother anymore, played to 20, then tried every other class.
