      So, yeah, you can go ahead and download the manual patch, but keep in mind that if you install it now, you won't be able to log in to the game until after tonight's maintenance. The game server would recognize your client as the wrong version, so you wouldn't be able to get in until after Genesis is applied to the servers.

      All you have to do(if using Vista)

      Press cancel when the patcher is trying to start after download.

      And if ur usin FF just keep the download page open till maint than install it after servers go down.

      1.) Is this bannable downloading the expansion before it is released?
      2.) all I need to do is install it to the client? after that i can just log in tomorrow without any extra effort?

      1. Nope, it's confirmed by frankie somewhere in this post
      2. Yup, but if you install it now, you can't log in until servers are updated [so you have to wait until maintenance]

      Frankie just posted that it is okay to download so no you can't get banned, although you wont be allowed to go login until its officially out at ~12 am

      You will still have to patch the game which I don't think should take too much time.
      EDIT: If you patch now you cant play until it is released, if you dont patch now you can still play and patch later.

      Ok so, its a 1 gig patch.. what will this set the total installed size to after patching? i tend to keep a copy of my PWI on a spare memcard for playing at friends places when they like to show off their (insert other popular MMO game here) characters tehee, hope it'll still fit ;)
      oh and btw, welcome back to all who left during that coup/uprising many many months ago, and also, welcome back spoons even tho not in a gm position anymore, its nice to see that signature banner on the forums again :)

      download patch to PATCHER=cant play


      just dont download it to the patcher(look at my previous post about canceling it when it asks permission to start etc)

      and play till servers go down. Click the downloaded patch from ur computer. Install.

      im downloading now just so i dont have to wait to download it tommorrow.

      does ne1 know where the changes (patch notes) are listed in the file.
      Killing level 80's with a lvl 60 is a lot more fun than killing level 90's with a level 100.
