Those are some great specs to play this game, maybe you should try lowering the graphic settings, if that doesnt work you may need to update the drivers to your graphics card/computer itself. Otherwise I would have to say either run a Verify, or uninstall and reinstall it. It may also have to do with your network, maybe you should provide a little more info.

I have been having similar issues, for as long as ive been playing ive never had any real issues with PWI or its software.

Lately, im having huge spikes in CPU performance straight from the elementclient.exe process, going from 30-95% and back and forth constantly, nvm the 5 FPS or less which was usu 25+ for the last 6 months. This is the only game or application that causes any system issues lately. Its making the game unplayable no matter where you are, and its really discouraging as the new classes come out and was planning on rolling one of them.

    I am running:
    WinXP SP3
    Celeron 2.00 GHz
    4 GB of ram
Nvidia GEforce 8400 GS video card 512MB RAM
    20 MBps Ethernet

I have tried alot so far to remedy the problem including:
    Defragmenting
Update of all sound and video drivers
    Implementing GameBooster
Hunting SvcHost processes that may be constantly renewing with PWI software/server
Making sure in game settings are all low quality

Ive talked to some that even tried a full OS reinstall and they still had the issue.

It also seems that there is a small percentage of us that are experiencing this since the latest update from build 462.

This is highly discouraging as I am a Cash Shopper and am willing to invest more into new toon as well as the usual, besides being an avid player and spending alot of time in game.

    PLEASE HELP US!b:angry

Incredible, ive done a full pwi reinstall twice, reverted back to older nvidia drivers, did a windows repair...tried many things to no avail.

Now im really disappointed that its been over 24 hrs since and not a single reply from a mod, not even a "we are aware of the issue and are working to fix it" I could accept that and be patient.

Being a daily player, sometimes up to 8 hrs or more a day, with this problem its pointless to even attempt to play, as soon as I even start pwi software patcher.exe goes crazy, then click start and elementclient.exe continues the madness.

Its obvious that I am not alone in this issue...and only option at this point is to stop playing until expansion and hope that the issue is addressed...especially when I feel like this issue is being ignored. b:surrenderb:bye

I'm having the same problem here. The FPS is more often than not 5, and never gets above 11, even when there's no one around me. b:surrender

    My specs:

    Win XP Home Edition SP3
    2GB RAM
    Intel Pentium 4 3GHz
ATI Radeon HD4650 1024 Mb Video RAM

I've tried freeing space on my HD, defragmenting, but with no results. Any indeas? b:cry

Don't know if this will help u guys but heres some advice.

-DL CCleaner and clean everything you can (should free up lots of space)
-Click Start then Run... and type 'msconfig' then untick everything that is useless under the Startup tab.
-Go to Control Panel then Administrative Tools, and dubble click Services. Carefully read each service's description, and disable those u dont need (its useless to have a printing server process in the background when u have no printer for exemple)
-Fully defragment drive with MyDefrag (works nicely)
-Also check for viruses/spyware etc with SpyBot or something and don't play while doing something else on the computer ofc :>

And of course update all the drivers and DirectX libs on the machine. Also put the water quality to minimum, it seems completely bugged to me (got more than 30fps drop with maxxed water). Hope this helps guys :)

As you see above I tried all of those things and then some more...its clearly a bad code in PWI files, I would investigate myself, but at the risk of being banned for modifying source files I will not.

Well, I would not necessarily agree to that. Altho the game, as every f2p mmo i have encountered, lacks optimization, it still works nicely on my - pretty average - computer which is an athlon x2 5300, a 9600GSO and 3gb RAM. I do think the issue is on your end. Your graphics card may be up to date, but your CPU is clearly a bottleneck for it. IMO you shoudl run some tests against other modern games and see if its the same, but as I said, it works decently on your average person's computer, so the problem must be on your end b:surrender

My system has been the same since first power on, and first PWE download and login, and never had any issues for more than 6 months. Also, there are others here obviously having the same issue, maybe rare, but still an issue. As far as F2P, yeah thats fine and dandy, but when someone spends up to and more than $300-$3000 to enhance their experience in -game, to the sum of 95 million dollars total overall PWE games and software, some expect some efficiency being logged 4-12 hrs a day, if your bored and cant sleep thats 18 hrs b:laugh

I am no slouch when it comes to PC's, CPU tests equaled 1999 Mhz, opening 30 separate firefox windows running youtube on each is a rather easy feat for my cpu. Pagefile is non issue with almost 1 TB hard drive, 3/4 free space. The clincher is others having the same problem, so ill be patient and wait, cross my fingers, eyes >.<, legs and toes and hope for the bestb:surrender

After latest updates and updating system entirely minus OS re-install, game is working absolutely perfect as it has been for me for 6 months. I cant put my finger on it, but idc, I am just ecstatic that the game is playable again. Went from 2k ms, fps 2-3 to 100 ms, fps 25-40 no matter where I am, it cant get much more perfect than that! Thank you PWI, I was patient and came through with flying colors

Try experimenting with all of the in-game graphic settings. It is most likely the water and/or terrain (or texture) settings that you will need to change or turn off.

Or, it could be something else for your PC.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

I'm starting to think it might be an ATI Driver related issue. I also have a very high end desktop PC, w high end ATI card, and I only have frame related issues with this game...and they are worse now than they ever were.

    • Can some ppl with newer model Nvidia Cards please chime in and let us know if ur experiencing the same terrible FPS.

    • Also, can some ppl with newer model ATI Cards pls chime in and let us know if you're also bad fps.

I should be getting about 100 fps in this game with a desktop 5900 series ATI card.
5 fps = serious issue somewhere. I'm going to open a ticket with ATI, to see if they might be aware of this issue.
And I will strike down on thee with great vengeance and furious anger...the life you thought you led is gone, and your catshop is on an island surrounded by dinosaurs.
