Hi,
I have seen people on the world chat and normal chat talking about how they need or are a # aps player.
What does this mean and how do i calculate what aps I am(can it be calculated in kitty form?)?

basically a player that spends gold and doesn't know how to play their class properly just buys -int gear and auto attacks then boasts about how great they are while they shove cheetos and mountain dew down their throat and blast linkin park b:surrenderi cant find my signature b:cry0

So when someone is looking for a 4 or 5 aps class, they are looking for someone who has spent money and are willing to play while stuffing there face with junk food?
Whats my name

lol attack per second you can see yours by looking at your attack rate on character screen you need gear with -interval on it the more the better including the 50mil cape the 10mil bracers the lvl 100 nirvana pants im not sure the cost and you need fist/claws or daggers as your weapons you wont have 4 or 5 aps unless you use demon spark or are in range of clerics heavens wrath skill which increases damage and attack/channeling rates....essentially barbs got screwed with aps unless you wanna restat to fists at 100 q.qi cant find my signature b:cry0

It means a sin, or a particular build of a BM.0

Almost any class (except cleric, wiz, psy & in some weird cases those too <.<) with a decent amount of -interval gear & fists or daggers.0

APS = Attacks Per Second
A high APS is gained by using a weapon with a high attack speed and as much -interval gear as possible. The game caps at 5 APS, even if your gear and skills/buffs should let you go higher.
APS is calculated by dividing 1 by your weapon's Attack Speed, then subtracting any -interval bonuses you have, rounding to the nearest multiple of 0.05, and then dividing 1 by that result.
So, for example, if you have a weapon with an Attack Speed of 1.27, 1/1.27=0.787.... With -interval bonuses totaling .4, then 0.787...-0.4=0.387..., rounds to 0.4, 1/0.4=2.5 APS. If you have a Demon Eruption, then that increases attack speed by 25% (for most melee classes and archer), so to include that, multiply the unrounded result by 0.75, and then round that. So 0.387...*0.75=0.290..., rounds to 0.3, and 1/0.3=3.333... APS when triple-sparking. (Please correct me if I made a mistake there, but I'm pretty sure the math is right.)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
