Kind of arrows?

How do you know what kind of arrows to buy?

I bought some Woven Fang Arrows from the blacksmith in City of the Plume, since that's supposed to be what you use from levels 1 - 16 or something like that. I'm a level 2 Archer and my bow is the standard bow that you start off with as a Winged Elf Archer when youre born or whatever.
I tried to equip the arrows but it's not letting me. However, I don't see any other arrows that I meet the level requirements for, so how do I know what to get?!

    Nevermind, I found my problem - the standard bow is level 0.

    So now I have to figure out how to get the ingredients and the money to manufacture a new bow so that I can use the only arrows available, so I can kill monsters for a quest which, when I return to the quest giver, will reward me with a new bow in the completion of the quest. Great. Anyone?

    You should have started off with like 500 arrows for your starting bow. If you somehow wasted all of them you should just make a new character..

    Manufacture a bow? Why not buy one from the blacksmith ('ranged' tab) at worst?

    By the way, if you are lucky, some people leave arrows/bolts on the floor, and I guess you could take them. Another thing is that if ever you create/have other characters, you could always collect arrows/bolts for your archer and transfer them if you are in need.

    I did that from the start and I saved so much ammo (about 150k of each lv1 bolts and arrows). I'm that insane, but I am now sure I will never buy them from the NPC anymore.

    By the way, if you need arrows, you can also buy them at the blacksmith, under 'shot' tab.

    As posted above, the very first quest in starting area has a level 1 bow as a reward. If you somehow didn't do this quest, and used up all your arrows, I'd recommend either starting a new character, and either just playing from there, or dropping some arrows in a corner somewhere and then login with your current archer and pickup those arrows. You'll then be able to equip them with your lvl 0 bow.
