A useful Thread =)

Please tell us squads for Fcc that you HAVE ACTUALY BEEN and then tell how it wasb:victory

you can show it like me


Number of members: 4 ,till xp room
Puller : Wiz 101(charmed) 5k hp with r8 ekips
DDs: BM sin(9x)
Healer : me! lvl 98 then
Comments: Good exp run, and not so slow(50 min run), wiz hadnt much charms tiks because his Great defense(mag and phys)


Number of member :6 ,till xp room
Puller: Sin (uncharmed) 4,5k HP (normal ekips)
DDs: 1 sins 2 bm 1 archer(normal ekips)
Healer :me
Comments : i thought it was gonna be awful ,with lots of deaths. I was wrong; ppl were focused and aways killed big pulls before the stun on them had passed(means the puller survives)

    Had several really good runs. One was Sin x3, BM, Psy, Cleric. Another was Sin x3. Another was Sin x1, Archer x2, Wiz x2, Cleric, BM. Another was Sin x1, Veno, BM x1, Wiz, Psy, Cleric.

    Except for the runs I solo/run with Sin squads, the only real constant is that there's always a cleric, and always me. I tank the bosses, other classes there usually pull. I need to get some practice pulling, though. I certainly have enough HP/Def for it, I'm just afraid of **** over people's runs because I've never done it before.

    3man alt FCs are great, clawbarb, sin and cleric. Runs take ~50mins all together with walking alts trough empty cave and all.

    I tend to solo my FFs now.


    Best squad would probably be 5.0 aps user and a cleric, aside sins soloing theirs that is.

    Barb(Classic)
    3x5aps BM
    1x assassin
    1xCleric

    Other than that, any squad works as long as you have a tank (Barb or BM that can hold) and a cleric.

    Fastest mob kills:
    BM
    Wiz
    Archer
    Psy
    Sin
    Cleric
    If the Wiz has Undine like they should, it also enables very quick boss kills by boosting theirs and the psy's damage as well as the water buffs and fire buff on the archer.

    Joined a squad 95+, to my surprise all were lvl 100+ to 102.... archer, whiz, cleric, bm*2 and me as lower sin.
    Fastest boss kills i've ever seen.b:shocked

    I don't go fcc very often. But pretty much any reasonably levelled squad can and does work as long as they either know what they are doing or pay attention.

    Still, tjhat I can remember:
    I've had cleric (88 ish)+barb(95 ish)+triple-veno(80-100) - full run. Worked fast (those bosses die pretty quick to pet damage, and veno stuns may be poor, but they're good enough to take one bishop at once)

    Most fun run i've been in was with just my husband ( cleric ) and a barb from our faction + his alt cleric to get the damn thing to open.

    Granted it took us a good full hour... maybe 2, dont really remember.
    but it included Veno hall pulls, Cleric tank + hall pulls and alot of fun doing things out of the ordinairy.

    I've been in almost every kind of squad, save an all magic one.

    I've found the DDing is only a small fraction, I've gone on a 4 party squad with myself, a Barb, Sin (sage) and Veno...and we completed it in under an hour easily. No deaths.

    So long as you have an understanding as to how much you can handle there should be no end to the number of possible squads.

    Ultimate Goal: a 6x Cleric squad. Equivalent to playing with nothing but White Mages in FF1. Epic Win.

    Fastest squad, where i have been: cleric, veno, 3 sins & bm. Messenger boss went down in 15 secs. And i have seen cleric, archer & veno pulling mobs and psyc stunning mobs, nothing special, but usually puller is barb/bm/sin and stunner bm or no stunner at all. Also 95 % of squads afraid to go without "proper" puller or stunner

    I've been in a lot of squads. "Regular" ones with cleric, barb, BM, veno, DDs. Squads with 3 venos (rock). Squads without a BM (not so difficult). 2 and 3-people squads. Squads without cleric. Of course the fastest are those with a couple high-aps BMs or sins. Bosses die ridiculously fast. But I learned that most squads can work if people do their job.

    Interestingly enough

    I find if you have a Wizard, Psychic and Archer you tend to get above 40 heads in the Oceania Room.

    Also for heads I found that having RB and sins with bows / Archer shooting all the time was a help. We tended to GET MORE heads with the RB than without the RB. As well as AOE with the psychic and the wizard's Dragon's Breath.

    Just remember that each head at 100 is worth like 11680 maybe even more.

    I also started rating people's conditions of FCC awesomeness

    • 20 Heads is ****
    • 30 heads ~ 40 heads is average
    • 50 heads is where it should be most of the time.
    • 60 heads is great
    • Highest record I ever had on heads was 72?

    This is my rough maths for one run at Level 100? 101? minus the big pull factor:
    • 30 Heads x 11680 - 350,000
    • 40 Heads x 11680 - 467,200
    • 50 heads x 11680 - 584,000
    • 60 heads x 11680 - 700,800

    Can anyone do more maths on this? Maybe for 80 and 90?

    Also while we're on the topic of maths. Repair bill outcomes minus the 'full run' to the Dragon Archers are another interesting thing.

    Also as barb if you're working the lower level (Level 80) squads and a repair bill over 70~80k it is a VERY BAD squad (Some of us higher levels ride on the back of lower level squads and if we're nice we leave at the pull at Oceania)

    Most average repair bills for Barb will be between 20k and 30k unless your a 'claw barb' then I don't know.

    Yes call me a hypocrite if you want for "grading people" on how many heads they kill but that is the way you can tell if you have an FC squad that is on the ball or not. Same with the repair bill.

    But it REALLY is interesting watching some people.

    Also since dying in FC past 97 should be a much lesser option unless the psychic / DDer class takes agro it is certain an interesting indication of how things are 'going'

    I dont really know how many heads we kill but I get around 1 mill exp with x12 Hypers at my Level and with a full squad.

    Best squads are with BM (Stun/Pull), Barb (Buff/Pull/pdef debuff),Cleric(Heal) and 3 Sins b:dirty

    Wiz with pro channeling, psy with pro dmg, 5aps sin and a good cleric,maybe add veno for amp.
    And everything you gave me...vanished without a trace.

    That actually doesn't make sense. The experience penalty on level 88 mobs when you're 100 is 50% and the Frozen Heads give a base experience of 5020, so with x12 you'd be looking at 30,120 each.

    Do remember that the game doesn't display the experience numbers right when using hypers.

    Well firstly, as I said, the number of experience is wrong. Secondly, it's not so easy. The experience a member gets is scaled based on the highest level in the squad, so unless they're all the same level, you'll up with at least 20 different lists.

    That is actually only true if you can manage to get into the room without dying. Of course, shouldn't be a problem at 90+ or 95+ or whatever, but it sure is on the lower levels.

    No. This is wrong. Even in the 80s one never gets 30k per head in a FF squad. At 100 it's 8,000 - 11,000 just with a base 12x hyper (the spirit matches this too), not including any bonus modifiers like 2x or training scrolls.

    I've found out first hand that on heads it doesn't report XP correctly with 12x hypers when using a very low level (like 40 - 70) and doing it solo, when there is a higher likelihood it comes anywhere near your supposed "30k". Doing a duo and squad of three with levels 40 - 65 the experience greatly diminished from doing it solo.

    Doing this instance a number of times.. one can easily have an idea of what they should get. I get between 45 - 60 on an average squad. Highest I ever got was 82. It was also lucky since there is no set number of heads that spawn. Doing solo FF runs or FF runs for my own alts using my sin, then running the sin away to solo heads, I usually get 20 - 50, depending on the damage done (if low enough the damage reduction makes it very hard to kill a head).

    This mainly applies to bosses, not heads, unless the player is so low that they get near the max experience the mob can give. At 100 this isn't possible for heads.

    I would expect that a squad that knows what they're doing (which should assuredly be every single one) by the time they're 100. There are unlucky situations where not many heads spawn, which one can understand, but in any normal distribution of heads, getting 30 or 40 is pretty crappy when I can do this solo.

    30mins ^^

    The run i would love:
    Newb sq who do the cave till exp room
    Me leaves squad and kill everyone after they kill the boss
    alot of exp i guess <3

    No clerics. 20 minute run. Assassins were lowest level, both at 99. Most fun I have ever had in an FF run.

    1 x Sin
    1 x Barb
    1 x Cleric
    1 x Me :)

    Were all around my level, but experienced enough to know what they all had to do and when. Hope they are all on tonight b:victory
