Hi im kinda new to this kind of game and i am wondering what class i should choose.
I want a mixture of high survivability and damage dealing, without having to put allot of points into vitality. I don't really care if it is melee or magic but i prefer magic. Notice i already dissed archer, that is because archer generally sucks and does so even here at closer range than 5 meters.

archers shouldn't let anything get into melee range, so saying archers "suck" at that range only indicates you haven't grokked how to play archer.
high survivability and damage dealing, not having to stat a lot of vit... well, venos fit that. long as you don't steal aggro off your pet, you don't need much (if any) vit, and you'll deal plenty of damage as a pure mag veno. granted, other classes probably also fit this bill; ijs that venos do too.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -
I would say Veno but thats not on the Poll.
Decent dmg, able to survive most attack as long as your pet is able to pull aggro off you. Down side only a female class. But i would say you can try them out and if you like them you can always roll a Mystic, once the new patch gets release In the 1st week of March.
Psy. Very squishy but high dmg output, you can kill most mobs w/ 3-4 hits before they even touch you, unless they are Range mobs which in that case you get hit once or twice.
But i would say take a look at this and that will give you an idea of which class you should pick.

wizard....may do slightly less damage than the psychic but in squads thats a good thing so you dont steal aggro constantly they have 3 different shield skills 1 that increases earth resist and phys defense(100% increase at lvl 10 makes a major difference) another that increases fire resist and hp regen and another with water resist and mp regen along with a skill that increases max mp along with some very flashy skills lol so psy is more spam of 2 attacks to deal lots of damage but they take more damage....wizzy hits hard and can survive longer b:victory ive played every class past 70 you want a wizzy b:surrenderi cant find my signature b:cry0

lol wtf. wizzies were the original psy's and they can steal aggro like a ****, i don't care how many times a barb flesh reams against that.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Thanks so far, i need more opinions though.
Most common advice seems to be veno, some say psy/wiz. I am going to roll mystic class when that comes out until then i'll try what you say. b:thanks0 -

Nah, more seriously BMs are a quite balanced class. The only thing I hate about them is their squishiness against Magic attacks (you will have a hard time from lvl60 to lvl70, then it's okay).
As a BM, you can tank good, you can survive to pretty much anything (even more with a cleric) and well, you are a DD basically0 -

Actually, archer is a pretty strong class. at range they do good damage, with an excellent critical hit rate, so that most enemies don't get close enough for the damage reduction to matter.....and, if they choose, up close they can equip fists to kill things.

i think that a veno fits ur description best (survive+DD+magic).
known as solo-machines, they can solo a lot of stuff that would require a squad.
on the other hand, they do that slower than the squad so it's kinda balanced.
the new classes might be good for you too.
according to unofficial info, the seeker has some magic attacks and can survive...
mystics will have summons + self resurection (which sounds really good for leveling etc)
even if u die, u survive xd
on wiz/psy thingy now, no, you will need vit or good armor to be able to take hits.
the thing is, u dont need to take (a lot of) hits xd
personaly i found that a psy kills faster and easier the mobs.
plus, u can switch in white voodoo and run away or tank some hits.
at lvl10 the dmg you take is reduced by ~50%
wiz on the other hand has stone barrier but that's it, you cant switch to tank-mode xd
the aggro issue...yeah, it's up to you to control ur aggro. just because there is a way to steal aggro doesnt mean that you have to do it. i'm pretty sure that a wiz can spark, frenzy, undine BT/BIDS/MS and steal aggro but that's not what they usually do right?

Hello guys! As you told me i made a veno, it's lvl 15 now and im already noticing the repeat skill thing.
It is just the same thing over and over again. I also notice you are only as good as your pet, if your pet dies you will lose hp pretty quick but as long as your pet is alive you can kill anything. For example in lvl 12 i accidently wandered off in a lvl 19 area and killed some of the mobs pretty easily. I'll se if i continiue or go on with a psychich.0 -

So, i made a psychich after that veno. The result of that:PSY POWER!!!!!! nothing beats a psychich. Already lvl 20and it is still fun. the levelling went pretty fast and keeps goeing on. strongb:pleased.
