Warsong anyone ?

Hey guys,

I have an idea that's rolling in my head the last few days and I decided to share it with you, who knows someone might actually be agreed to do what I`m planning. I`m absolutely sure that many of you remember the good ol' days ( I`m kinda sad that I`ve never had the opportunity to taste them ) when you were farming FB69 for Cala Axes molds ? Or when the highest level to help you with your FB was actually like 1 or 2 levels higher ? When a bunch of 50s and 60s levels players were trying to kill Jewel only because they were the highest levels on the server ?

Today, it's different. Yes, you can always call your 5APS buddy to totally **** a boss for you but where's the fun in that ? You can always count that someone who is lvl 100 or 101 can help you out and stuff, but back then, who did that ? Exactly, players of the same level range were running instances for their levels to help out each other.

Around a week ago I got a quest. I`m rarely doing any quests that are not in blue or yellow colour or not giving over 25K coins ( yes, I do need coins, don't laugh at me. ). I noticed that I have a blue coloured quest but instead to the NPC that gives me the quest I went to the rewarder without even taking it. The NPC that was supposed to give me the reward actually came out to be the teleporter to Warsong City. I got inside by an accident ( no, I`m not reading what the NPC is saying to me, I`m just clicking around to close the damn window faster and proceed with my quest ) and I was totally confused because I wasn't expecting that I`ll teleport somewhere while turning in a quest which I didn't even take b:surrender

So, after I realized where I am, I decided to start taking screen shots and run around until some damn mob kills my squishy archer ***. I went from a teleport to a teleport to realize that I was just running in circles. So I finally asked in faction chat what the heck Warsong is when I got like 5 replies saying "Lvl 100 instance".

Wtf? If it's level 100 instance, why the heck am I getting the quest around lvl80 ? Anyways, it's the same for FC, I know, I know.

But if you stop and think for a little bit - who actually ran Warsong back in the days ? Of course - a bunch of 80s.

So my idea is - why don't we form a squad of lvl80s and actually have some fun ? Isn't it boring when you get into Warsong with a few 5aps Sins/BMs which kick the **** out of the bosses ? Why don't we push ourselves to the limits and find out if we can do it in the level range 80-85 or 80-88 or something ? Why don't you people recall the old days ?

TL;DR - If you are bored to death and want to run Warsong with a squad of lvl 80 people, reply here.

    well, you can't run warsong with a squad of lvl 80 ppl.
    Not even with a squad of lvl 100s, as most of the time you're going to find lvl 100 wih 3.5k HP.

    You can try though, no xp loss if you die there, so , go ahead, have fun

    Do you mean that I can't make it with a squad of lvl 80s or we can't run it ?

    Because if you mean that I can't make it I guess you mean that the instance is too tough for lvl80s, but if you mean that we can't run it, it means that the instance requires someone who is higher lvl to open it or whatever.

    She means that the mobs will 1shot you XD.
    Hell, those boring 5aps people get 3shot if they catch the wrong group of mobs unprepared (seen 2sac assaults and 1 inc mag attack mobs in 1 group of 5 mobs once).

    You could try, and it might be possible. But it'll take a LONG time, and getting wiped from a single mob half the time won't be pritty (lots of em aoe)

    Oh well .... we can still try I guess. A good barb and a squad of thinking people should do the job.

    And it shouldn't be hard to gather people willing to do it since the half of the server is sitting afk on their mounts in South Archo >.>

    You'll make money if you can kill 1 of the bosses XD
    And good genie experience.

    Anyway good luck, just remember you'll need 12 mirages to open (I suggest you take the quest, talk to clearstream. This will give you a sort of apo which bufs def/magdef/attack by 50% I think)

    The monsters are definitely possible if done correctly. Also while Snakefist and Obscure Reaper are out of the question not all the Warsong bosses are hard. However one problem that nobody mentioned is going to be the four hour time limit. The monsters take some time to kill, especially when they have to done one by one.

    the mobs r as easy as hell will be just like regular fb mobs problem is bosses u need a lot of DD power cause they get really really hard if u dont kill them in 2-3 mins

    IMO every instance is possible if done correctly. I have no idea what's so scary about those bosses you mentioned but I`m sure they still can be done if the squad knows what to do exactly.

    Warsong is not possible for a squad of lvl 80 unless they have Warsoul weapons.

    Some bosses are timed, I ran Warsong the first week it came out with 100 cleric,98 wiz, 100 wiz, 97 archer and 100 barb and 101 BM - ish levels.
    A boss like Snakefist will deal more damage over time, at the end his aoe did 9k dmg UNDER Blue Ball to us.
    -->enjoy with a bunch of lvl 80s that deal even less dmg than we used to do back in the day

    @ Loarvion i bet you never done a full run and experienced Water Path..the mobs are far from easy...a lvl 80 magic or LA class will get 1shot/occult ice water dot'ed..and a lvl 80 Barb will get 1shot/occult iced/dot'ed from a sacrificial mob.


    Warsong is one of the oldschool instances, when they were hard and level requirement did NOT mean you can finish it already.
    Old FC was lvl 75 , the difficulty was meant for lvl 90-100 cos it was so freaking hard with boss aoes of 7k under BB.
    (We failed with full squad of lvl 90+ and couldnt kill final boss with Quitor, Zeldor, Dunno, PG and co)

    Old Lunar the same, can enter at 85 but nobody was able to finish it before 100+ and TT99 gears.

    So yeah, i would rethink your opinion about instances...

    hmm u maybe correct but i believe if u pull mob by mob with a really good tank u should be able to kill them uhm i remember HTV's tank had 18k hp at lvl 82 or 83 i dont remember exactly but true i never did water i did the bh ones and uhm think it was wood not sure i only did 3 of the elementals

    @ grim nah u dont know how much DD u will need lol

    Grim warsong wasn't run by level 8Xs when it was released... it was and still is impossible for that level range. It may be fun to take a stab at it, but there is no way you could do the bosses (much less finish in <4 hrs)...

    Snakefist does more damage over time, in 1 minute increments. By the 3 minute mark he's doing full damage, which is about 17.5k on my barb with BB up. (roughly the same amount in HP my barb has). In most cases, it takes no less than 2 high aps classes in a full squad to knock him out before he starts squad wiping.

    Reaper I remember just hitting insanely high from the start, but it's been a long time since I've done a full warsong, I just don't really remember most of the other bosses, other than being ***** a lot.

    Water boss (obscure reaper) must be tanked by range, cause he 1shots the melee tank every now and than.
    He has an AoE bubble (the bubble like bubble boss in FC), and a single target random aggro bubble.
    If he uses the aoe bubble, most people already die (you can see it coming, he says something when he uses it. But still XD)
    He's horrible XD

    I remember being level 80 and getting a pm from my friend "Let's try warsong!" Hmm ok.

    We spent about 4 hours in it dying and wiping and returning and getting charm ***** but honestly it was some of the best fun I've had in this game. Being with your friends and doing stupid stuff is sometimes pretty great. Our highest level in squad was 92 and we got face rolled so hard.

    We were on vent together and one of the bosses (can't remember which) kept doing 50k damage on our barb. It was great, not gonna lie. There was no chance we'd complete it but it was so fun just going in and messing around.
