Hey Guys, I just have questions about Perfect World Genesis, when it is released will i have to redownload perfect world or will it update my perfect world file? any help is welcome

    It will update the normal way, but it's going to be a huge patch, you might want to do a direct download (there should be a link announced) and do a manual patch, because the update servers will be clogged.

    The last expansion came in a patch update. If I remember correctly it too me about an hour to download it.

    Considering the CN versions are like 100-150 versions of the client ahead of us, it could take several hours without high speed internet. If you use dial up, you're boned. You might as well manual patch it slowly so if you lose connection, you don't lose your entire update and have to start over again. b:surrender

    Yeah, but with the last expansion they pre-loaded the expansion, so it came in three chunks, totaling 1.5 GB. They said that they won't pre-load it this time, so it could end up being one huge patch.

    It will be over 1gb at a minimum and tbh I think it is much closer to 1.5/2gb based on the CN patch (which I cannot remember off the top of my head how big it really was. -.-

    Having said the, the patch will be stupidly insane if you cannot get the manual patch early (which many know how so it might not be an issue b:avoid).

    Overall though I am more concerned with potential issues. With the Tideborn expansion there were more then a few issues even with pre-patched parts. It should be interesting but some of us who will be waiting will most likely wait till the following day to even attempt to patch/log-in...What's the rush anyways? b:chuckle

    I think this patch will take my internet about 30mins-2 hours to download depending on the size of this ****. Because our wireless speed is 2.8 MB per second, we don't even know how fast our downloading speed will be if we plug the cable line into our computers.
