I have a question pertaining ground mounts, i have learned that yo can ride ground mounts when you have reached lvl 20. I have just reached 20 and i see that most mounts are hyper expencive. Is there a cheaper and easy way to get a mount at level 20? If so tell me. Any help would be nice

    You can save up and buy one from another play which can be cheaper then paying gold.

    nope.

    well thats not strictly true - the last couple of years PWE have given players free lvl 10 mounts on the games anniversary (if the account has also been registered at least a year)

    If you are lucky you can get a blazing tempest from another player for between 4.5 and 7 mil (I was lucky and shopped around)

    you will get free flying mount at level 30 but they are pretty slow compared to cash shop fly mounts.

    You can also save up and buy one off of the pet manager. 2 - 2.5 mill i think it is? but maybe cheaper to buy a panther or elephant, i've seen them as low as 1.2 mill on dreamweaver lately.

    Thanks for the help but i see that players are very cheap and usssually sell at prices like 8 mil or higher lol i dont even have 1 mil!

    Some mounts run extremely cheap, such as the polar bear mount. Yes the damn thing looks ridiculous but you know it serves the same basic purpose. Unspurred, I've seen them as low as 800k..thats a very good deal.
    Also, Every once in a while, cat shops make mistakes...I have seen a few mounts in cat shops where the person forgot to add a zero at the end of the price, resulting in 400k mounts.

    For a cheap mount like the polar bear(or a mispriced one) , grinding for cash should be enough to make what you need. It will take a while tho.

    What you need to do if you are determined to get a cheap mount, is search cat shops and ah every day. Look for the best deals. If you search dilligently, you have a much higher chance of getting really lucky and finding a very cheap mount.

    Just dont expect it to be a demon tiger...

    If you want to wait the whole year, yes pwi does give free mounts on their anniversaries.
    I do not recommend buying mounts in cash shop.

    mounts are a luxury item I am afraid - one of the ways PWE fund the game.

    If you want to go faster you have to pay, wether that is with real cash or by farming your butt off and earning it with ingame coin.

    Once I buy a Mount for my level 20 and higher characters do they need anything else in order to use the mount, such as a quest, or additional item, or anything? Please let me know I dont want to buy a mount and then be stuck needing something extra and suddenly theres a catch.

    Same question goes for ground and flying mounts.

    ground mounts and flying mounts are dramatically different, and probably should be referred to using more clearly distinct terminology to try and avoid confusion.

    ground mounts are a kind of all-class pet; they take up a slot in your pet bag (and unless you're a venomancer, you likely only have the one slot available there) and need feeding (either with water, or by equipping a tome) to make sure they get and retain a high loyalty value. other than that, the only thing they "need" is the right level requirement to ride them.

    aerogear --- flyers --- are tools; they function much as necklaces, belts, rings or weapons do. even if you're untamed and your flyer looks like an animal or a pet, it isn't. aerogear, once equipped, needs no more than your genie might need. that is, nothing at all --- unless you use the accelerate feature, in which case it'll eventually need chi stones. (you still need to meet the level requirement, same as you would for a piece of armor or a weapon.)

    (actually, your aerogear needs less than your genie does; it can't be levelled up, it has no affinities, there are no skills to get for it, ...)

    Some options:

    1. Wait until lv 30, you'll get a free flying mount (aerogear). It's not as fast as a land mount but it's more convenient (you can auto-fly it).

    2. At around lv 40 farm antelope pups (or even turtles) for 100 hay, sell it for 1m coin, buy a cheap mount (but you could use that coin for more useful stuff).

    3. Spend US$ 10 in the game which you can sell for a few million coins in game.

    but how much money IRL is equal to 1 mill in Perfect World?

    and, that being said, about how much money IRL would you spend to buy an ordinary cat for a pet in Perfect World? (Like a tiger)?

    Last I checked, gold price on DW was a bit over 800k/gold. it's been a few weeks since i looked though.

    okay, thanks. that helps me a lot, actually, to average and range out the prices, no matter how long ago. i was thinking cat, yeah - panther, tiger, whatever. i love kitties x] lol. its so epic that we can ride them in this game! i definitely want one as soon as my character levels up (i just started two days ago) thanks [=
