Why (possible) 2X drops on March?

Now I usually don't make any suggestion, since 99% of the aspect of the game is out of you guy's (PWE's) hands anyways. But since 2X is in your control, I will like to point something out. I guess it won't make much of a difference.

Even if we DO get the enough likes at March, having a 2X drop with expansion is just... bad... People will want to play the new class, yet won't want to miss the limited time for farming. Most people will probably settle for farming first, new class later. That just defeats the purpose of releasing the expansion on that date.

A better idea would be to have 2X during the week/s leading up to the expansion. That way, we keep ourselves occupied while waiting for the expansion, and not just doing nothing, getting bored to death waiting. Then when March comes, we are too busy to decide between farming and new class.

    ...Because we won't meet the requirement to have double drops turned on before the expansion most likely, and to ask them to turn it on before it's met kind of defeats the purpose sort of. They wouldn't give it to us on an expectation that the likes would be met by March so turn it on now deal.

    Also it's coupled with double exp and sp which would, I guess, benefit the players playing the new classes.

    my exams end on march 1 b:avoid

    i dont really think that the major concern of pwi is to maximize the farming during 2x; some ppl will surely go fc during 2x to powerlvl their alts faster.

    You just know there'll be R9 EG's by first month. Yeah get to 101 in 2 weeks then afk at Archo being bored again. While the rest of us smarter ones take our time and actually enjoy the new content and classes.

    ...which is exactly why I think there is some truth to the "frost nerf" rumor. PWI is probably trying to prevent people from creating level 10x nab Earthguards who have no idea how to actually drive their class.

    Unless, of course, the "summon monsters" area of the new guild bases summon level 150 monsters. Then, just bring your lowbie alt into the guild, level it up at will, and voila. A new nab created fresh out of the oven. b:chuckle

    I believe the "frost nerf" rumor came from people who went to the CN server for the expansion. They went over, couldn't hyper in FC, then concludes - nerf. While what they didn't know was that hypers never worked in FC in CN version in the first place.

    i dont really think that frost will be nerfed. maybe add some restrictions to avoid alt powerleveling (i think that that would be good actually).

    unless mobs are like fc heads (ew that's imbalance) i dont see how the lowbie would kill them and get good exp o-o

    Did everyone just completely ignore Susylu's post, which is completely correct. We'd need ~14k likes in less than 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure the facebook likes exceeds the amount of active players on all servers combined at the moment. So yeah, good luck.

    They didn't say when they are going to flip the switch to turn it on, did they? As far as I know the only thing that is a date of any kind is we have until the Expansion to reach that amount of likes. The last time we had this contest it was a couple of weeks before they actually turned it on for us.

    Hmm good point. Hopefully Frankie falls asleep at office and hit the switch on accident. Let's start really long and philosophical discussions on PW.

    BTW, Susy is right, we won't get the drops part anyway, lol. Just hte x2 EXP & Spirit, because they are giving that to us for 'effort' regardless of result. Its kind of like Track Day in elementary school, everyone gets a blue ribbon for participation. =D

    One might also say it's the same as the paralympics. I'm pretty sure the PWI staff refer to their player base as rtards rather than elementary school children :x.

    Both references would be true of PWs player base largely though, as sad as it is, its fact. The amount of idiots I run into is staggering lately. Like a BM who is level 102, that can't HF at a proper time when it was pretty much his only job the whole instance. Its things like that, that make me QQ.

    not really because everyone will be on their main's farming Nirvana for 2x drops not taking advantage or even caring about 2x exp/sp

    i think the 2x during the new classes is genius like you said it will keep people from hopping straight to the new classes which means that the 1st week or 2 the genesis starter area wont be like the tideborn was. I will skip 2x drops for the Earthguard cause i want to hit 100 as fast as i can get my character established in a good faction so i can tw on it and have people not know what to do against me.

    If theres 2x drops, it would mean less people making EG chars, and those who do levelling them faster.

    Less lag in the EG region and fun for all those who want something to do whie the place is lag-central.

    ---I still think the waving 2x drops in our face(book, lol) and giving 2x exp/spirit is just cheap tho, hence my unfriending b:bye

    I know; I will be dwelling all my spare time in nirvana and TT as well ( b:sweat ) after maybe reserving a name for EGs later, but I was speaking about the many players who will try out a new class once they come out (people who can't/don't farm or can't wait).

    I actually think the amount of people leveling and trying out the new classes will outnumber the people farming but that's just me (or maybe that's what I'm hoping haha)

    not sure if anyone else has mentioned this yet, but 2x drops will only occur if the fan page reaches 200k likes, otherwise just 2x exp and 2x spirit, and right now its at 186k so who knows it could not have a 2x drop.

    PW knew 200k would be impossible to get by march so effectively they are pushing people into playing/levelling new/alt classes.

    Fact of the matter is that these days very few people invest/charge zen in a character unless they're approaching/reached high levels where it starts to become necessary in order to get decent gear. The need a new batch of lvl 100+ to get some revenue again. b:chuckle
