But seriously, the way it's worded it looks too much like ownership for me to be comfortable with.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Nothing to do with religion, it's the Chinese culture. *** marriages are taboo, game is Chinese, all developments are made in China.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

When people start convincing themselves that their ingame marriage is REAL, then it's time to bail out and stay single. And doing it for a daily quest ain't going to convince me otherwise.
LOL, with a smexier toon i guess b:chuckle0 -

Hmmm... was thinking...
If the baby pets you can randomly get are like children from the marriage. Then I got 5 children, 2 that I abbadoned (npc'd) because they were duplicates.
What a bad parent am I b:cry0 -
My RL fiance and I married our mains a few months before the Rising Tide Expansion, so we got married before it was officially cool b:cool The Marriage Quests are really the only benefit in-game as you have a daily with an easy quest and you get a pretty good amount of experience and spirit...I also got a baby lochmur and crabby
I would not count the Chapel thingy at all because it's confusing and bugged QQ
Last week we married our tides just for the quests b:avoid[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Pro's:
Marriage Quest
Always have someone to talk to
Always have someone to squad with
Depending on class, wifey/hubby can make creating squads easier if they're a cleric/barb
Cons:
For the guys- you're kinda restrained to what she wants.
For the girls- you have to listen to us ramble on and on and on and on...
what he said xD marriage in total seems fun, unless your hubby is a pk killer and plp love getting revenge on his wife on pk? b:shocked b:cry[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
The greatest danger for most of us
is not that our aim is too high
and we miss it
but that it's too low and
we reach it.

Oh... and you get your betrothed's name above your head, though that seems to be more of a con than a benefit to me.
There's a button next to best performance so you can turn it off if it honestly bugs you that much. b:bye[SIGPIC]http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums/dd414/FluffyPeace/screenies and such/2011-03-1116-04-45-1.jpg[/SIGPIC]

On topic~
It depends how you think of ingame marriage as to the benefits. I think it's a cute thing while others like sandoc don't like the name over head (which I can understand)
The quest is nice, but personally I think they're too short sometimes. I know some people who are 101 who say its a waste of time.
You can get pets, but then if you don't have space for them it's not much of a use.
It really all depends how you take the e-marriage concept as to whether it benefits you more or notI'd just weigh the pluses you can find against the minuses and then see if it's worth the monies to you. =D

biggest benefit is to PWI for all the money they get0

I think being able to teleport to your spouse is the greatest benefit... even though you have to wait 300 days to do it. Would be nice if that time were halved... but it's still a cool feature. lol[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You can trade in those rings for new rewards, apparently? I can't find the thread that originally mentioned it, but 100 hearts gets you a little all-class demon baby thing, 150/200 gets you fash (I believe it's temp) and a mount, and 300 gives you the ability to teleport to your spouse in the open map with a 30 min cooldown.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Hello
I think that marriage is linked to health and economic benefits. Married individuals tend to have better physicalhealth, psychological well-being, and a lower mortality risk. Financially, married men tend to earnmore, and married women are less likely to fall into poverty. Marriage is also linked to greater wealthaccumulation.0 -
