hey we made a faction called GayRights is that a bad thing to do b:sad b:sad??

    I realize you are not addressing me as you have posted this in the Technical Support Zone... however, I will write a response anyways:

    I believe it is an excellent thing to do! - assuming you are sincere about the name of the faction. It is heartwarming to see people make a statement about equitable rights and promote social awareness....even if it is only in a video game. I just hope that you will not get discouraged or hurt by the abusive intolerance that is sure to come your way as this game has its fair share of bigots, and immature adolescents that will think hateful ridicule is somehow acceptable.

    Just in case you might be interested, there are other factions that have embraced human rights / social rights as part of their gaming experience. Here is just one that I remember of at the moment: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=459212

    P.S. If they allow some of the inappropriate language that I have seen in several of the faction names on Sanctuary, I can not possibly see them having an issue with something as civil and benign as your faction name.

    im directo and my friend is leader, they told her that they will banned us it we dont get rid of that faction b:cry that hurts u know cause we r trying to make something right here and their just being idk racist i guess idk our ppl from the faction are offended and hurt :( idk how to cheer them up now and im the director :( b:sad and she said it was the GM who said it idk who that is though but pls know that our ppl r hurt from those words and r sad :(

    and srry idk how to get a tiquet or were to go to give this sadly comment :(

    I would strongly recommend that you follow up with a GM or with a ticket yourself to find out the truth of the matter. Sounds like a misunderstanding or maybe someone giving your leader false information.

    There is absolutely nothing wrong with the name of your faction. I can see how some might suggest that it is political in nature but it is done in a purely civil, respectful, and benign manner without imposing or offending anyone. Indeed, if anyone is placing themselves at risk of being the target of hate, it is those of you brave enough to make a statement about human rights. Edit: The argument that the faction name is a political message also falls short when one realizes that everything! is political. The fact that only heterosexual couples can embrace or marry in this game sends a political message, as well as imposes the social beliefs of the developers, on every player in the game. Having a faction name that challenges the political position of the game content is indeed minor by comparison!!

    If PWI allows the MULTITUDE of offensive and inappropriate character names and faction names that are out there already, then they could not possibly take objection to your faction name....seriously!

    k ill get the tiquet then but do let the GM that what he told to my leader hurted her and the ppl inside of that faction and me as well b:sad that wasnt nice to say what he told her :(
