New TW stipulation suggestion

In light of the TW rewards been changed back to what they used to be, I had a fairly decent idea today. What if with the map reset, the devs instituted a new stipulation: In order to hold a territory for longer than 'x' amount of time, the faction in control of it would have to defend said territory or lose it by default? For example, a faction holding the Silk Ridge territory for longer than 'x' amount of time would either

a) defend the territory and win/lose

or

b) not defend and lose by default

I personally see nothing negative for the majority of the player base in this suggestion. It would keep one dominating faction from holding the entire map and pulling in 600 million coin every week, distributing that coin to more than just the same 200 players. Coin that could be used for TT/Nirvana gear, skill books, w/e.

I like the direction you're going with this. It seems like you're trying to essentially free open the map for more than just one insanely overpowered 'we is awesum lawl' faction. I can get into that.

As for my official weigh-in, I'm a little on the fence. I think the idea of defending your territories regularly is a good idea, but just up and losing it straight away is honestly not being fair.

...Yeeaah, I mean that to the 'we is awesum lawl' factions. I'm trying to be balanced for everyone.

    A slight alternative would be:

Faction I Is Awesum Lawl holds Silk Ridge, Archosaur, and Shining Tidewood for (x time). They are suddenly faced with defending each of those, regardless of whether or not someone has declared war. This so far is probably what you had in mind. But instead of just straight up losing the other territory/territories, it'd be the same as a faction attempting to capture an unclaimed territory.

Am I making sense? Or is this pretty much exactly what you were saying? My thought is, y'know, those Wraiths aren't gonna sit around and do nothing forever. If no one's attacking those territories, they should.

On a side note, you would probably find this http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=994512 thread's idea also appealing. No reason why they couldn't both be implemented, amirite?

any idea that halts one guild from owning all the map is all aces by me. this needs to change. no one guild should own the entire map. this is the one time i wouldn't mind if these forums got flooded with ideas like these.

I'm so used to just hearing such and such factions are fighting in TW that it didn't occur to me that they could also implement something like a Wraith battle. That would indeed be better than them just straight out losing the land, and keep it fair for said ridiculously over powered faction. And on a side note, making all the TW battles be fought at the same time is slightly ridiculous. There's nothing wrong now with the staggered battles as far as I know (I don't do TW myself). That person makes valid points, but one faction could easily split their members into four groups of 50 each. Taking HT server as example, Enrage could still defend any territory under attack except for a few (there's been an average of 6-8 bids each weekend) assuming they all happened in one day rather than being spread out over the course of the weekend.
