you'll be fine, revive you should level, higher levels use less MP and channel faster
tame, you use more MP the more you level it but increases success rate, no harm in leveling either

Did the spirit point enough at higher lvl?

Eventually you have more spirit than you can use, yes.

In the mean-time - you'll have slowed down your ability to buy more useful skills, but only slightly. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

level 2 of tame beast and revive pet, put together, cost 1,795 spirit and 2,080 coin. which, only a very few levels later on, will be utterly insignificant numbers. don't worry about it; worry with me about how i'm supposed to save up 250,000 spirit and 340,000 coin for my next levels of lucky scarab and parasitic nova, once i get to level 65. b:shocked

Should I be embarrassed that my nova is still at 8? I probably should.

But yes - skills start costing a couple of million spirit in the end. 1k spirit here or there won't matter a huge amount.

Try to leave tame at the lowest possible level. You can use it to lure single mobs out of a group like the yellow genie skill. The lower level tame is, the less mana it costs. The increased chance to succeed at taming that you get for leveling it is useless unless you camp rare pet spawns.

why would you bother using tame to pull when you can do it quickly with your pet, without tying up much channel time and mana?

Slayer_of_Souls: you guys are such suck ups. none of you have attacked twid.
Twiddzly(fac leader): no, sere killed me already.
Slayer_of_Souls: he's out there waiting for us, isn't he. i'm gonna die.
Sereneai: b:sin why don't you come find out.

    It has its place.

It's not usually the best option, but it has its place.

(Pretty much the only time is when you need to lure to add monsters to a rolling fight, because you're up against the clock, and your pet is already tanking something AND either your earthflame genie is on cooldown or the lure is too long for earthflame (or you don't have an earthflame genie). That happens more often than you'd think, given the tight criteria, though it's still not every day.)

Also, with tame, you can have your pet out while you make a pull, which makes it easier to catch the mob yourself and therefore safer.

It can be a bit of a pain to recall and rebuff a herc every time as well. Tame ends up being faster, especially if you have decent -chan.
