Hey my faction currently uses skype and by god does that program kill our ping, we heard xfire is pretty legit, so im testing it out. Here is my problem i cannot get xfire to detect pwi even when i give it the exact path IE: C:\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International and even C:\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\patcher has any1 else run into this problem and found a fix. thanksb:chuckle
So what if we have bad HP, we're Chuck Norris in the damage department!!!!! b:pleased

If your going into an fb and the Barb screams "LEEROY JENKINS" as he runs into the cave, leave the party. It's only going to get worse from then on.b:shocked

Nef is all but a memory. Pwi may once again sleep peacefullyb:pleased

    What the hell is xfire?

Use vent or Teamspeak, or mumble. You know, a reputable gamers VOIP program.

Also, try running your xfirejunk with admin permission granted, it usually interferes with such programs if they dont have it. (Right click, run as admin)

    --EDIT:

Did research. Overlays + Angelica (PWs system) = crashes. They just dont wor together.

You can set the path manually by pointing at element.exe.

Anyway last two days the game kept crashing for me when I had xfire running but all the time before that it worked good.

The way xfire detects your pwi if it doesn't automatically, you have to find the path manually. By pointing to the file elementclient.exe it recognices it and you can do screenshots, videos, voice chat, chat with people in other games, even a live broadcasting for some games, have the clock in a corner :P

    It's pretty useful. http://www.xfire.com/download/

And I've been using it for years and never got a problem of lag or crash with any of the games I played.

Xfire and PWI should work together properly. Heck, back in 2009 they even had a contest involving using Xfire with PWI (see this thread for info on the winners).

I do remember that lots of people had to manually find the PWI executable to get Xfire to work with it properly though.

XFire and PWI works very fine together just watch out the XFire-update PWI will close will XFire is runnning and updating ;)
    Try out: "Manual Detect"
Game Path (the first thing I dont know how its exactly called in English):"C:\Perfect World International\Perfect World Entertainment\patcher\patcher.exe" or wherever how have your patcher.exe.

    Detect Path: "F:\Games\Perfect World International\Perfect World Entertainment\element\elementclient.exe"
I am from Germany and I am sorry if my English isn't very good b:surrender

Xfire is a very good software, much better than Steam...
Yes, you can speak on it, but you'll lag a big. It's better to use Ventrilo or TeamSpeak (2).

It still a good software to discuss when you are playing in full screen (Xfire > Msn)

Vent is best, push to talk.. No one wants to hear 10 people typing, breathing, smoking, coughing, whatever.
