TW Rewards Changed, What about TW Bidding?

Is it still going to be silent bidding? Will there be a 90% refund from winning TW? And only 1 bid per faction? Cause this will be some messed up fake bidding on PVE lands I swear..
I can imagine 1K or Archosaur will see like 50M + bids and no return if win?... 100M bids on 1K/Arch and no refund? No go...

I at least hope bids will be refunded... I can see some lands going waaay high and if you don't get your 30mil or so back, that kind of sucks.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

This is a question I think many are asking. I am inclined to think that bidding will remain the same as it is now.
Take into consideration though that being able to get 1k and Arch will take a few weeks for any one faction.
Those that own those lands I suggest stock up on PK pots...might be a while before someone can make.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

How about you limit the number of lands a guild can own, say like 1/4 the map is the limit including only 1 Tier 2 & 1 Tier 1 land.
+1 for this or at least make something similar to that b:laugh0 -

well greater risk greater reward. Bid 100 mil and lose it all when your opponent has bid 200 mil.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Unfortunately, at this time, we are not able to revert this mechanic to the way it used to be, as it would be a much bigger change to the game than the devs can currently handle, what with Genesis occupying all of their time.
We'll have to see how things play out for a bit, and take it from there based on what we've learned. The GM's will also be on high alert for any hijinx, so fake bidders beware..0 -
Even with this reset and the money back in the rewards... i STILL won't ever do TW unless we get our damn money back if we're outbid like we should. I used to not even care about trying TW.... now i'm starting to think it might be fun to try. But if I part with some of my coin and dont' get it back if we dont' get to GO.... forget it.0

The change is only for the rewards. TW mechanics remain the same.

I can only imagine the first week if no bid returns
What I'm concerned about is the number of bids you can make per week, especially the first week.Unfortunately, at this time, we are not able to revert this mechanic to the way it used to be, as it would be a much bigger change to the game than the devs can currently handle, what with Genesis occupying all of their time.

Thing is, this just makes it so fake bidding is even easier.
Earlier you had to dedicate a decent amount of coins and stay to the last second bidding on a land if you wanted to fake bid.
Now you just have to bid a bit more than someone else, and only have to outbid them once.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I like the current bidding system except I think it needs one tweak.
The loser's bid should be returned. And that's it. The winner of the TW should not receive any amount of the bid, the bidding should remain secret, and only one bid per week. But I would like the loser to be returned their bid.
That would allow TW guilds that might be newly formed (less funded at first) to not suffer such an early setback if they lose a bid.
Besides, who's ever heard of a bidding system where you lose your money even if you lose the bid?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Its THE deterrent for fake bidding. Bidding a lot to stop someone elses bid, and losing the money reguardless.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

The reason people would fake bid before was that they could bid a large sum, win the fake bid, then receive 3/4th(?) of the money bid upon winning the fake TW.
Even with my suggestion, if you bid the 50 mil fake bid, and you win, you'll lose ALL 50 mil.
That's a big price to pay every week just to avoid a attack, especially if you plan on making multiple fake bids.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Now I understand why maps are one color (well, they always were, rofl, but its worse).
Nice to see that PWE is still doing things the lazy way, clearly they are understaffed.
The only legitimate way to control fake bidding is active GMs checking up on the bids and permanently banning people who attempt it, and the guild itself if it continues. And of course resetting TW when obvious fake bids happen.
The way it is now discourages bidding horribly.Banned for no reason on -two- accounts, thanks PWE0 -

You hear that GMs? If you would just every week, back check on the Factions bidding, and if they're obvious fake bids, banning that character and removing said coin from fake bid from the system.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

what i think the gms or who ever controls the tw **** should do is once a faction controls more then 2/3 of a map for a month or 2 the map should be reset what do you all think of this idea?Collector of pet eggs, armor, weapons, fashion, and mountsb:chuckle0

Wouldn't really solve anything. After 1 reset, the amount of territories required for a reset would be figured and the #1 faction would use that to their advantage and leave their amount of lands at 1 short of the reset limit and just pick up the money from the lands week after week after week.
So then you'd have people fighting over the remaining 1/3 until the #2 dog would arrive. Then they'd get all of the lands and you'd have 2 factions with 2/3 and 1/3 of the land. So it'd just be an endless shifting of 1 land between the two of them, unless the #2 faction somehow surpassed the #1 faction in power at some point, after which their standpoints would be reversed and the same pattern would repeat.
Really, enforcing a limit to the amount of lands a faction can own isn't going to work. And it's also bad business since it's easier to control a smaller amount of territories than a larger one. And that'd lead to members of the top faction quitting out of boredom eventually.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Personally, I think it would be interesting if they made the number of simultaneous defenses possible a ratio of the total number of lands owned. So the more land you own, the more land you'll have to possibly defend at one time.
It would also allow smaller TW factions to possibly hold land for longer at the small end. Say a decent-sized smaller TW faction owns two lands, but they'd only have to defend one at a time. It would allow them to hold out just a week or two longer until the big factions get to them.
But the faction that starts dominating the map would have to face the potential of more and more simultaneous defenses as they gain land.

I actually did suggest that sort of action taken, while filing a ticket bout fakebidding. Archosaur was known for fakebidding back then, nothing really changed. They can add all the sht they want, only way to really prevent fakebids are active GMs disqualifying them from bidding.Trolling Sid since So Hot0 -

So have the dev's been working on Genesis from day 1 ? , because lets face it not alot ever gets put right thats wrong. I'm not talking about what is an opinion, more about the game bugs.0 -

Yeah, because GMs have done SO incredibly well over the last several months to combat fake bidding.
The same fake bid factions had been bidding on Essence without repercussion... their only goal was to set up triples with the factions they wanted to get the same time slot.
And yet, not a single thing had been done about it.
And you can't BS about it either because when the same handful of factions that fake bid over and over and over and yet, never show up for war says a lot more than a quaint little post saying it'll be deal with.

My suggestion.. Map reset every half a year or maybe even every few months. The faction that holds the most land gets a special prize in the end. After that, a new cycle begins and clean map once again.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Everyone that has been in the faction for an extended period of time should get something, not anyone who has just recently joined. This way faction hoppers can't go for free stuff.
Also to prevent the same faction from just winning every time, if you got a prize on the last time, you are unable to get a prize for the next 2 resets. This is on individual characters, not factions.Main characters
