TT's amped bosses and nerfed drops

Lately every TT i've done, you're lucky to walk away with 2-3 tt drops. whats the point of amping bosses and having us sub if drops are next to nothing. mostly oht. squad mode is more like solo mode half the time.if you want to keep bosses amped increase tt drop rate so its actually worth doing. no point taking a squad in if you can't give each member something they need.

I've done 43 TT3-2 runs in a row now without seeing any gold mats dropped.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

This problem is unlikely to be fixed and the reason is simple.
In order to farm 3-x TTs profitably you now need uber gear (or at least a lot of charm), so there is much more pressure to buy packs, rep and d-orbs.
The best tanks used to be barbarians, with their innately high defenses and health they could tank anything with fairly low refines and non-cash gems.
Now the best tanks are assassins or fist blademasters (yeah, clawrcher and clawrbs too....) with their lower defenses and health, dex instead of vit, they require high refines and cash-shop gems to survive tanking endgame instances.
Yeah, there is no point in taking a squad anymore. If you had to pay several hundred dollars just to make the equivalent of a few bucks an hour, the game has become a business investment and there is now less room for friends and fun. People just pay 100k for nirvana openers and make alts to open TT so they don't have to divide their profits.
A year ago it was a fun group activity to farm gear, now it is a serious business dominated by those who can solo the fastest.
PWE is a for-profit company, in case anyone forgot..... it's unlikely they will ever do anything that will make it easier to play for free.
It's still possible to have fun playing PWI, but I find it in different places: helping friends on cultis, running delta or warsong just to do it, leroying stuff, exploring world map on foot with a lvl 1 character.... Asking me to help farm TT (3-x especially) just makes me go all nerd-ragey these days.0 -
If you want higher drop rates, they'd have to impose a fee on it like they did on Lunar.

Archers are awesome tanks, and can do stuff with ranged tanking others cannot, but have a few disadvantages. BMs and barbs have higher def and get more hp from vit adds, BloodPaint doesn't work on archers.....
I say sins are the best simply because I know several who can solo 3-3 and no other class that can. I have duo'd 3-x's with archers, they are great, don't get me wrong.0 -
even a slight increase is better then mostly oht. sometimes theres not even enough mirages for subber. problem is some bosses don't drop any tt and it seems to happen more. as far as sins and fist bms, imagine subbing 3-4 runs and walking away with 4-5 drops.being a sin or fist bm won't make it better and why waste charm if you tick and walk away with next to nothing[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Being a sin or fist bm only makes it better in the sense that you can spam 10-20 runs a day for the average 1 gold drop per 10ish boss kills.... personally I hate TT for this reason, it's easy to waste days getting poo....
Full delta gives about 1mil coin and 1-2mil in tome frags and book pages per run, and is more fun for me than killing emperor 3 times and getting nothing.....0 -

Just rolling a sin or BM won't fix drop rates for other classes.
Agreed, TT rates have always sucked. People got used to double drops (the worst thing to ever happen to this game). Since the second drouble drop rate to ever happen, drops for DQ, and especially TT, have slowly decreased.
GBA have finally gone back up to what they used to be two years ago. The only difference is, now that boss is 'hard' whereas before he just took time to kill.[In a distorted place and time][The knife that stabbed me in the back grants me wings]

Don't let people on the PvP servers hear that. Last time I mentioned that subber got mirages, I received a barrage of people flaming me for doing that, even though it is the standard on Archosaur.0 -

If you can't give specific examples yourself, then you're no different from the others claiming otherwise. It's also illogical to assume that nothing changes with as many updates and patches that are in the game. After all, that is their sole function- to 'fix' things.
Demon Vision Legs and Secret Letter both had a drop rate of 0.0032%- changed to 0.0016% and 0.0536% respectively- of course this is from my memory, so it's not empirical, yet this is the reasoning of why I firmly say the rates have changed.

the reason it seems like the drops rates have changed is extremely simple most people were lvl 60 or 70 going into tt 1-1 - 2-3 and getting normal drops without having to deal with OHT Mats the drops have always been horrible in 3-1 - 3-3 because oht matsdrop off the bosses. Its all about random luck when it comes to getting drops in tt some get lucky some dont i remember i did 2 runs in a row of 3-3 and got an illusion stone on each run.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I did NO runs during double drops, because, oddly, nobody wanted to even bother going in.
The last 4 runs I've done through TT, I've had between 5 and 7 mats drop for the entire instance, which is complete bull. Doing a TT 1-3 run and getting 200k worth of mats is a waste of time. The repair bills, subs, and pots far outweigh it. Might as well just do it solo mode over and over again and sell mirages.

Seems like even DQ drops are nerfed,not just tt ones.....they indeed have been worst & worst with every coming 2x drop. And no,it's not that we got used to having so many 2x drops and now feel like normal drops are nerfed, it's comparing what the drop rate back then to the one now in mass. If it was just a few ppl complaining then I could've called it bad luck but with so many,several times now?
TT & DQ drop rates are nerfed,no doubt about it. Is this a way of slowly removing farming,as a good money maker,out of the game as well ? Then you pretty much got CS'ing and merching as the major sources of coin making left. It's becoming harder & harder to even call this a game .It's all about LoL,yo.0 -

Dunno, either I`ve been ridiculously lucky & unlucky or drop rates indeed are nerfed. Oh well, when you contribute numbers, those arent enough, when you talk bout in general, w/o numbers, you are simply quessing. No, I`m not gonna bother proving it more than that, I dont have few weeks to dedicate into grinding/counting drops for the sake of argument, lol.

Drop rates in general in this game just kinda suck. There's be no real nerf in Drop Rate as far as I can tell, just a decrease in DQ price, and 3 Star Decomp value. I've been on TT runs recentally where to boss has dropped 4-5 Green mats (one Boss) on 1x drops. In the long runs (100+ kills) the drop rate does even out, it's just server wide for said mob. (IE, while your getting half the drops you expect, someone else might be getting double).
Had to gather up some Leather for that Tailor 6 Cape (kept giving me 1 star ones) and it took like 70-80 mobs to get the last two leather drops. That seems absurd, but when I look at what the drop rate should be (acording to Database) it's bang on what you should expect.0 -
Droprate in 3-X always sucked. Or greens (Ribbons+ GBA) never dropped in 3-1 and gold never dropped that much in 3-2/3-3 lol. Think i got 1 gba from my last 6 runs lol.
Only change is that instances got way harder, drops are just as bad as always, not worse. I guess since it takes longer to run 3-X now it might feel like the droprate is lower and of course when youre use to double drops it effects you to. I did 30 runs of 3-2 and got nothing at all, than suddenly yesterday i got 3 gold from 1 run, so it kinda evens out in the end. Just have to spam it lol.
For easy instances like 2-X it always dropped pretty good and still does.0 -
I better grind for dq or farm high mats at least you know you are getting something lol, have done tt only maybe 20 times in all my char`s life and most just to get quests done or help. The drop rate hasn't been nerfed as far as I'm aware.
Yes, I've been getting incredibly unlucky with gold drops, but it's only like 5% for deathflow and minister to give me one so I wouldn't say that proves it's nerfed.
As for green drops, I usually get at LEAST 2 minister stones from minister. In the past 40+ runs I've done only once has he not dropped anything, and only a handfull of times has he only dropped 1 minister stone.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I need GBA's from TT 3-1 but when ever i do a TT 3-1 only one GBA drops and the person that tanks usually takes that one drop I feel like I am waisting my subs each time I do a run just for that drop i would really like to get the drops i need for my chest plate but never get a chance to get the drops unless i do a faction run faction will let me get the drops i need for my gear please please give more drops for the GBA boss I get manly OHT drops in there

I agree that they should amp the droprate a bit on GBA and Steelation in 3-1. It was fine before doing over 10 runs for 5 GBA since the bosses where really easy. Or doing 20 runs for 5 Ribbons lol...only boss that drops even less than Dark Collu. But now its pretty ridiculous if you compare it to all the trouble you have to go through.
Not many people wanna spam defense charms, drain hp-charm, domain, apothecary pots for a huge pile of purple/blue junk. Even with a decent 9X party, 1 mistake or a bit of lag can lead to complete party wipe.
The boss is of course easy-mode for any 100+ interval squad, just triple spark and its dead before its gets a chance to do anything. But cant set the standards of difficulty in a 9X instance based on 5.0 endgame players.0 -

I agree the drop rates suck in TT 3-x compared the bosses being hard. Least PWI could give the players a fair chance at trying TT, give a descent drop rate for the harder bosses. GBA drop suck, Collu.. same as that. There is no point in doing a tt for the sake of the mats and they drop nothing at all, you loose the subs, pots, repair bills and yea the exp too sometimes!
yes there are people still doing TT for the sake of getting mats, than relying on packs and opening tons of them. b:sad
I don't think PWI really care about this anyway, packs has hit it mark on us ! This make the game somewhat boring.

Umm no. The values have been changed but you forgot three things:
1) The percentage shown there is not the correct drop rate.
2) Check the PWDB link you gave, it shows that the drop rate is in fact 59%...
3) ...the reason is that the item drop chance for this boss is: always three items and the drop rate count or w/e is 3. In the older elements.data for GBA boss it was 2.
Anyway, if I'm correct, the actual drop rate hasn't been decreased if you count it like the PWDB does. I'll try to count it myself but no luck so far.100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

replication count was increased because the pool of dropped items was extended by all the OHT mats...
