Not loosing mp while flying?

Maybe this is common knowledge to experienced clerics, but I just made a cleric to take a break from my veno, and when I fly, I don't loose any mp. And I'm pretty sure when you're level three, you still use mp to fly.
Just curious as to why that's happening. Does it have something to do with me not having allocated any stat points yet?
Dunno, just weird and interesting

As a cleric, you naturally start out with more mp regen power than you use up with flying. Archers do drain their mana, you'd notice. But its simply a benefit of being a magic class. b:chuckle

clerics don't use MP to fly b:victory archers do.

or at least, they don't use enough MP to even register on your MP gage, if they do, but afaik clerics need no MP to fly
Things said during a Twizted faction PK session:
Slayer_of_Souls: you guys are such suck ups. none of you have attacked twid.
Twiddzly(fac leader): no, sere killed me already.
Slayer_of_Souls: he's out there waiting for us, isn't he. i'm gonna die.
Sereneai: b:sin why don't you come find out.
    Kinglkaruga: you go first dule.

They use MP for the natural elven wings, however, your mana regeration rate is higher then the drain therefore you will actually appear to be gaining mana.

Only time you will be effected is if you are below the required amount of mana it takes to fly. (only real time you have to watch is when sky fighting)

If you watch your mp regen rate on the ground and you mp regen rate while flying you'll see you are paying mp while flying. Also if you go straight from combat mode to flying with only 1/4 regen rate from combat mode, you can watch your mp sink for a couple seconds.

Of course, this is only with the starter wings.

^ You can observe how pro cleric mp regen by casting Pureheart Blessing repeatedly, you'll notice no change in your mp because the regen simply overwhelms the little mana it took to cast

Lol. Nothing pro about Blessing of the Purehearted, maybe you meant Ironheart Blessing which demon gives 300 mana back over 15 seconds and stacks. Demon Blessing of the Purehearted gives 5% mp back 1/4 of the time but that means spending 2140 mp to recover 5% on average.

He he, she's not saying Pureheart is pro, she's saying the MP regen for the cleric class is pro all around. I'm also pretty sure the context is for a low-level cleric (e.g., one with starter wings), not a Sage/Demon, but your enthusiasm for Demonism is duly noted! b:chuckle

starter wing needs 2 MP/ second, so if your MP regen is higher than that, your MP will not drop

After starting my cleric I noticed right from the start. I'd cast the wings and it would drop mp for a few seconds. You won't notice on your mp bar but the little blue bar below it. And yes it is an advantage being a magic class. Why I'm upgrading the flying on the starter wings as they are my favorite in pwi. ^^ Now if I can figure out how to stop dieing so quick. Heehee. Good luck! b:pleasedb:cute
