I am completely new to this game.. I've been trying my hardest to figure it out on my own, but it's safe to say, I'm just plain lost and in need of some guidance and friends! Now I'm stuck somewhere, have no idea where I'm supposed to be going to complete my quests and yea.. about ready to give up. lol.

I've played games similar to this before, so I understand controls and layout.. I'm just having trouble getting in to the game, especially with no one to play with! Anyone want/need a friend!? b:thanks

    (1) what level and class are you, and what server do you play on? click the link that says "edit your avatar" so us forum addicts can know.
    (2) where are you, in game? look by the minimap, there's an area name and coordinates.

I don't even know if I should be on this server.. or what... bah.

I shouldn't be in the city yet. There is a small village in the northern island, that's where you should do your quests. Ask the teleporter to teleport you to the starter area and find it using 'Find quest' button. (don't try to swim back...)

And wait until you see mobs with 10k+ hp. It's a pain to kill those (for my level).

So I should go back to the Island of Broken Dreams? Or go back to Dreamweaver Port? The only reason I ended up in the City is because a quest sent me there, but when I checked the requirements they were waaaaay beyond what I should be doing right now.

Edit: The teleporter in the city wont send me anywhere. When I click on teleportation, the map pops up, but is blank...

You should go back to the Island of B.D., not to the port. When you talk to the teleporter, click quests and select 'back to dragonfang', it would send you back for free.

You should go back to island of broken dreams. Dont click on teleportation, click on quest related and it should say back to dragonfang. Click on that, you will end up in the place you were when you made your sin. Then do as said above and click on find quest.

    Hope that helps.b:pleased

This thread reminds me of an experience I had yesterday. I logged on to my veno which I had left in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by level 85+ mobs. To my surprise, my veno appeared right beside a very frightened and very lost new player with a level 1 veno. She had apparently gone exploring and could not find her way back to the starter area. Well, I cleared a path through the mobs and escorted her back to Lost City. I love new players, they always remind me of the silly things I did when I first started b:laugh

I would offer to help you out sam8790 but unfortunately we are on different servers. Just so you know though, Dreamweaver is an East Coast PvE server. You may want to make sure you are on the server with the best ping for you and decide on whether you want to be on a PVE or PVP server before you continue playing.

Also, I would strongly recommend joining a faction. Find one with fun and friendly people that are willing to help out with information to get you going. And don't worry, if you find yourself in an unpleasant faction, you can always leave whenever you want and try out a different one.

    Happy gaming.

you'll want to find a skill trainer for your class. they'll usually be standing in towns and major cities, named things like "psychic trainer something-or-other" or "master assassin random-name". talk to them.

I think you made a typo there, it is a PVE server :)

After starting the PWI Element Client, look in the box where you log on with your Account and Password. You will see at the top of the log-in box a button that says "Switch". This will allow you to see all the PWI servers and to select the one you want. It will also show you the ping for all the servers. I would go with the one with the best (lowest) ping. Whether you go with a PVE server or a PVP server though is all about what you want to do.

PVP (player versus player) servers force you to go into permanent pvp mode when you hit level 30. On a PVE (player versus environment) server you can choose when you want to pvp (if ever). If you go on a PVP server, be prepared to be killed by other players on a continuous basis.

If you do decide to change servers, keep in mind that you can only use characters on the server on which they are created. Thus, if you change servers you will have to start a new character (your current one will always remain on Dreamweaver unless you decide to delete it).

    PvE, not PvP :D

really, whatever server has the lowest ping is ideal, but you can go wherever you like. My faction has several members from the west coast who have no lag problems at all, so it's subjective. If you DO decide to stay on Dreamweaver, feel free to contact me in-game for help (usually on 21:00-00:00 EST) b:victory and most importantly, have fun b:laugh
Things said during a Twizted faction PK session:
Slayer_of_Souls: you guys are such suck ups. none of you have attacked twid.
Twiddzly(fac leader): no, sere killed me already.
Slayer_of_Souls: he's out there waiting for us, isn't he. i'm gonna die.
Sereneai: b:sin why don't you come find out.
    Kinglkaruga: you go first dule.
