Assassin's Job in FC?

Now that I'm approaching a level I might be able to start FC soon in, I wanted to know, what is the assassin's job in FC?

I looked through the stickied guide, but there wasn't a section covering that.

I was wondering if all the experienced assassin fc-ers can direct me to a guide, video, or just an answer from you yourself on what an assassin should do in FC.

I remember reading that I should level up my aoe skills as high as possible from a sin before.

Let me know please!

    Tank/solo/rib strike/AoE/harpies/usually hands too.

Sins stealth past mobs and solo shades. When soloing shade hit it with rib strike then kill the two mobs with it first. During this time the squad is waiting on you to finish so you need to kill shades as fast as you can.

At bosses sins shouldn't just APS, remember that you have skills. Rib strike, Subsea, etc.

There will be large pulls where you will need to AoE for the squad. Sins don't really have the strongest AoE so Chill of the deep may help you here. And remember tab key will also make you a little faster. Also remember not to attack to early or you will pull aggro, die, and be useless to squad. Attack too late and there won't be enough DD which will also squad wipe.

Sin pulls are used [most of the time] at bishop boss. To sin pull buff up with deaden nerves+Focused mind [make sure shadow escape is not in cool down] shadow walk to boss room then shadow walk back out of stealth. Use run skills to kite all mobs back past squad going down the hall past the room of the optional boss. Once you get past that room use shadow escape to deagrro mobs. Being charmed/having crab meat helps here.

Make sure you have a bow for harpies/hands/heads.

Wow thank you very much ZeaKuro :D. I'll need a lil bit of practice when I do start. So what level should I level chill of the deep?

I haven't really leveled Chill myself, I only use it when I feel like the squad doesn't have much DD power. Focus on your: AoE skills, stealth skill, run skills, and rib strike

I've been on a lot of FCs on my old character and have never seen a sin pull that part before. Can I ask why exactly do they pull it when they could just as easily have the whole squad kill the group before going to the boss?

Alright. My Chill is level 1-2 I think, and the rest you've listed is maxed to the level it can be at 73. Still have to work a little on maze step though.

    Thank you once again :D

The pull is done here so the mobs can be skipped and killed later. After bishop boss and bishop shade dies barb will do a large pull of all mobs to runewolf room so squad can hyper the pull getting more exp from the run. Some squads do a "rock pull" where the barb will kite all mobs to the rock in bishop room [where they are suppose to auto reset], but this is very glitchy and fails quite often. Sin pull is always better unless you get a headstrong barb that wants to do their glitch rock pull.

That's pretty much it. There are 3 sets of shades you are expected to solo. The first two rooms. Then the shade after the bishop boss (this ones less expected in lower levels). Chill of the Deep slows down attacks but skills aren't based off attack speed, they are channeling and cast time based and CotD doesn't effect that. Just remember to switch it on and off after pulls and before bosses.

Stealth ahead before each pull and stand near the shade. Deaden Nerves+Chill of The Deep+wolf emblem+Focused Mind+Double spark all before the barb stops. Then use your two aoes. You may save Deaden Nerves for the boss.

I've never seen a sin pull mobs that way, although at the bishop boss it seems like a good idea, would just make for a longer run but more hyperable pull. I've seen them sprint by like a barb and pull the normal way. I've never been in a squad that tried to use the rock glitch considering it takes about 5 seconds to just kill them all.

Subsea AoE takes 2 sparks and so does spark+. If you spark+ before a pull make sure you have at least 2.5 sparks then use inner harmony after spark+. That way you will have both AoEs ready.

A better way is to actually stealth before you run through the mobs. For one you'll take less damage since mobs won't be hitting you, and the other reason is that even after you stealth mobs tend to aggro on the rest of the squad sometimes.

You get to the boss in Shadow Walk. (There's really no point in unstealth anyways since boss can see you) Then you wait for him to be on the far side of the room, towards the wall, and the Knife him at max range. Right after Knife finish casting, Shadow Escape and holy path out.

After the boss you then solo the two bishops and shade in the next room so that all the mobs in the short hall can be pulled together with the ones in long hall.

Are you suggesting that a lower lvl sin solo bishop boss? b:shocked

Pretty sure he means to pull the boss out of the room so the mobs can be ignored.

Stealth through mobs-->get boss's attention-->stealth so mobs don't see you but boss does-->pull boss to squad without mobs.

I believe that's what he means.

Never done it that way. I always pulled squad to boss, not boss to squad.

Does this actually work? I'm almost positive if you try to leave the boss room he'll reset is the corridor before the hall.

Works every time, unless the Sins messes up. He'll follow the Sin out under stealth and you kill him in the room right before the hall, where the Shade was. Then after the boss, Sin goes past the hall and kills the two Bishops + Shade and then both hall can be pulled as one to Slash boss.

When you get pro is when your most useful

at 95+ or so the squad usualy doesnt hyper till boss before big room so u can go ahead and solo the first boss before the squad gets in.

If your good enough you can solo both sides on the second boss and actualy kill them all and have tht done before the squad clears the hallway. Then for third boss you skip him and let the squad handle him while you stealth through and solo the 4th and 5th boss so the squad can pull the whole hallway to the shade before the 6th boss (usualy the squad catches up to you just as your done with the 5th boss). Then you follow the squad the rest of the time maybepull half the big room depending on gear and such.

i must say FC is really fun when your a high lv sin and you get to solo some stuff.

But usualy i dont ever do this method just FYI because if your good enough sin you just solo the whole FC yourself, but when i help on runs i do this to make it go quicker

Mh, doesn't that require you to be 5aps? or at least 4 aps when sparked.

No, but he does suggest a lower lvl sin solo 2 bishops AND a shade at the same time.
My lvl 87 sin already has a hard time on the shade alone lol

I've soloed up to the big room at 2.5 APS several times. I'd advise at least 3.33 aps to make things go faster, though, and higher for the first boss after big room (can kill frenzied bubble boss, can't kill her) if you're soloing a full run.

Mh, so I guess I can't start doing that till lvl 89, since no demon spark. Impossible to get that much aps till then. What about minimum hp/defense? (including clerics 1h buffs).
