    stupid question... how is that any different from a longer version of what some potions created by the apothecary already do, only longer?... we already have a crafting skill that can add elemental damage to your attack... congratz, you made it a 30 minutes buff instead of just a 2 minute one. am i thinking to simple here?...

    These should be able to stack with the apoth buffs. Also, I think they will be more OP by also including channeling and int buffs.

    Wow, look at all the cynicism in this thread. -_-

    Do give them some credit, guys. Most of the time, when we get something new, it helps the game (as opposed to stupid changes to existing systems). I'm a bit skeptical of the guild bases because of the (rumored?) costs to build one, and then I'm sorta worried that it's gonna turn into "hey, we'd better not get any significant resources at all or else Big Faction X will take them from us!"

    But this feature looks solid. It would only be a problem if there are runes that give -int buffs, and even that wouldn't be a problem if they actually fixed the APS cap. >_>

    Guild bases do cost a lot, but that is why lvl 3 factions [usually averaging 150-200 members] have everyone pitch in. 100 members putting in 3M each is 300M. In my factions I have members that have donated over 10M a piece easy.

    From what I have seen the runescrafting will include an int buff, but it should also include OP buffs for other classes as well. 5APS is part of the game, it won't be capped at anything more or less than that.

    If any of the runecrafting quests take place in RB or oht maps 2 3 and 4 i'm gonna...i'm gonna...grr i'll rant about it!A lot!

    The items won't share cooldowns likely. Also, the link says the new crafts can increase the base stats from the start. Apothecary can't do that. o.o

    Considering this feature was released after aps was known, it will take it into account. It could be setup so mages get more benefit or something. Too early to tell for sure though.

    5APS is part of the game, it won't be capped at anything more or less than that.

    When the Chinese devs programmed Perfert World they set this feature. This feature has existed since the beginning of Perfect World, even if it wasn't always used. It was went this long and not been changed. Therefore it was purposely added to the game because they wanted it to be there. I am not nor will I ever be a 5APS user, but I'm not going to QQ over the fact that it exists and someone else has it. Deal with it.

    1 full delta is easy as hell with the current gear etc (the only problem is the glitches... qq)
    if u cant learn to play while hypering, dont hyper.

    and if ur char is cleric and you think that ur job in delta is hard LOL.

    but lets focus in runes. can we stack them? like getting +3+3+3 def lvl? or +3 def and +3 attack?
    or only one can be active?
    can they be purged?
    can we replace them before the 60min with some other rune?

    Eh, I wouldn't go that far. The 5aps cap is probably there either to prevent interval from getting too far out of hand* or to prevent the code from breaking from attacking to fast. (In some games, attacking too fast causes those hits to do 0 damage.) I don't think the devs that set this cap ever intended it to be reached. The devs that added the pieces to reach 5 may not have realized how much damage it could produce or that it would even be possible to reach 5.

    Anyway, now that they do know, they can make new features with awareness of 5aps. They may try to balance it out through runecrafting. It's too early to tell for sure.

    *If 5aps is bad, 6-10 aps is far worse.

    1 hour buff= 1 hour cool down FTL

    I hope they can be stacked.

    stacking different shards sounds ok
    but it removes the "challenge" of choosing the right one for the situation; just get all xd
    on the other hand the buffs they give arent too great; 3attack/def, 250hp, 250pdef..
    doesnt changes the situation a lot (like black/white voodoo does)

    i fear that they will be purgable :(

    But it still comes down to the fact that when they was deciding on a cap for APS they decided on 5APS. Even if they didn't intend on it being reached that is the cap they decided to set. I say a nice feature would be instead of capping it if you go over the set limit for some reason [5.1APS] you get instant weapon break. That way people will be more cautious about how high they take their APS.

    And back on track: I really hope this isn't a copy of Apoth. Even if the buffs are different I want something more unique about it. Maybe combine if with a system like the BHs? Boss hunt for the mats, return with proof of kill and get a mat/buff.

    If they didn't intend for anyone to reach it, they certainly didn't intend for it to be a feature either. Stats are probably capped at 1k or 1024, but that doesn't make stats at those values features either.

    Maybe the reason they haven't adjusted the aps issue is because it may cause instability in the game, and cause breaks in other segments of coding, or the lot. As for Rune crafting being a doctored fix for APS, I dont think so, however if they ever decide to put Stones of Ancestral Knowledge in, well.... I dont think casters will have much to complain about after that.

    I am actually looking forward to this. If nothing else it'll give me an opportunity to build up a new skill set. I hope that they dont add the Insta-level chests in for runecrafting, because then that just takes the fun out of it :\

    I get the reference of the screenshot, and the name does remind me of it, but after reading the news post, it is definitely not the same concept... thankfully. =x (There runecrafting was used for magic, and casting various spells on the game, here we just have mp. :))

    Still looks cool, and as for it being overpowered well... I don't know about that yet, there's not enough info for me to say that yea they will definitely be overpowered. =x Alright after rereading it... scratch that, sounds like we will get to choose the add-on to the weapon/gear. =o That sounds... awesome... but as others have said very much so possibly ground breaking even more, but meh its not even out yet, will just have to wait and see, it will probably take a lot to force a make of - interval/channeling. (Which I hope will cost the same amount of runes.)

    I don't know if this is confirmed, but along with the runecrafting update, I read on a page by some bararian (idk if he was trolling or not) that the players with APS had a chance to drop their weapon, and shatter their weapon including unbounding it for using it to much.

    I read something like 1% chance to shatter and another % chance to unbound and drop. I'll try to look for it if I find it again. b:surrender
