Genie Help

Infliction Genie

was wondering what skills i should be putting on my genie

its currently level 43
str 15
dex 32
vit 27
mag 10
16 points to spend

Affinity is
Metal 2
Earth 2
Wood 2
Water 0
Fire 1
2 points to spend

30/40 lucky points

Venom Stinger level 1
Earthquake level 5

1) is this genie still worth having, or did i **** it up, and i should cube the exp and get out
2) if its still good, what skills do i put on it. From reading around, it seems holy path is a must for instances, but i do a lot of solo play, was wondering what else i should be looking at

    On my cleric's genie, I have -

    Dicipline (white genie), level 84
    -STR: 63
    -VIT: 50
    -DEX: 40
    -MAG: 5

    67/80 LP

    -Wind Force 1 (flies faster)
    -Extreme Poison 10 (amps damage for a few seconds - useful in both solo and squads)
    -Holy Path 10 (useful for both solo and squad - escaping XD)
    -Second Wind 10 (recovers hp)
    -Absolute Domain 1 (immunity for a few quick seconds for me and anyone in squad close to me, very useful in dire situations)

    Works very well for me. I'll also be adding Cloud Eruption in the future, if possible...Gives chi. As a veno playing a cleric, I'm always wishing I had more chi, lol.

    Skill-wise I'd look at:

    Cloud Eruption- can get you to your sparks quickly, so you can gain "free" mana off sparking and hit hard in solo play


    For the rare occasions that you do go to squad play:

    Second Wind/Tree of Protection- second wind is great when you have low max hp (2-3k) and ToP is ideally better as it nearly fully heals you

    Holy Path- for instances (or tactical repositioning), it makes up for the sluggish running speed clerics have b:chuckle

    Absolute Domain- helps prevent one or many squad members from dying if you time it right



    If you want to focus the genie solely on solo play, I suggest looking for skills that improve your damage output or makes your solo activities run smoothly. Personally, I don't use the genie much in solo play on my cleric, but I have heard people using the anti-poison/poison resist genie skill for AoE poison mob grinding (sorry, I can't remember its name b:surrender).

    That would be "Nullify Poison", good sir. =)

    Yep, another nice skill, if you're into the aoe poison mob grinding, as he said.

    Honestly at your lvl, you don't need genies as much as high lvls, so I think you can go with Holy Path (more than needed, especially for a cleric in instances such as bh), something like Extreme Poison (nice to use when a bm HF so it increases the whole pary damage even more), maybe a genie heal in emergency cases when you can heal yourself instanly for some reason (Second Wind, I'd say, its instant and the otehr heal isn't, and is more for high HP chars). I think this would do the trick, you can add whatever you feel like as last skill. For genie skills decriptions, and affinities needed, there's a page on ecatomb site about it.
    For the stat points, add them accordingly to the skills you have on your genie, most skills have their effect increased with a certain stat, dex or str. Vit is to increase it's energy, and Mag increases it's energy regeneration.

    If you wanna know how a good cleric's genie looks at high lvl, here's my cleric's one:
    - Holy Path
    - Absolute Domain
    - Cloud Eruption
    - Expel
    - Tree of protection (my cleric has quite high HP, so I found that more efficient than Second Wind at her lvl)
    - Frenzy

    I also recommend skills such as Fortify and Badge of Courage if you plan to PvP at higher lvls :) Didn't have enough slots and affinities on mine for those though xD

    50 str - 15 dex - 50 mag - 70 vit (it's a lvl 101 Longevity genie)
