ok... now I know that most of u have noticed shortage of BARBS...for FC/BH/FB etc..

what will happen when genesis come out? b:shocked
ppl will roll seeker or mystic or whatever....which means NO TANKS for FC/BH/FB runsb:cry

few days before I spend like 300-400k on teles only searching for barb and after 4 hours there was none -.-


just want your opinion on this..cause its actually serious matter.. b:surrender


currently thinking about to start playing barb...how much time it would take to hit 80(need advice)?

    you should come to our server..barbs are plentiful. I got 5 locked up in a cage atm.

    What will happen when Genesis comes out?

    Umm I'm sure aps BMs and Sins will continue to tank things. Maybe Seekers will be tanking also lol

    Ummmm, yeah.

    I'll be leveling my Barb while everyone else is LAGGING the Earthguard nub area. b:chuckle Then when your Earthguards are needing a Barb for BH/TT/FCC/Nirvana runs (well, probably not nirvana, I'll have a 5.0 Archer/BM for that), I WON'T DO IT unless you pay me. Why? Because I can't find a Barb, and i refuse to waste my time helping people through instances for nothing, only to be blamed for everything that goes wrong.

    and yes aps sin and aps bm can tank..bm can even pull in fc....but still...barb is true tank.
    and ofc true tanks are also rare nowdays..due to the rise of the int barbs..

    and once they are done buffing, you can use them as a nice fur coat useful in fc since it always snows there

    Any hardcore lvler will just use a well-geared APS user to help duo FF with, whether be a friend, or another account alt.

    If we see any lvl 100 earthguard the first week, they most likely used this method.

    Just did a FC with a 87 Blademaster doing pulls as big as Barbs the same level, and he was uncharmed with 6.5k HP.

    Maybe if they fixed it so barbs dont have to do the most damage to hold aggro more would play them (heck I would come back and play again) Flesh ream, roar, alpha male, they just dont cut it when a class like a sin can pull off high apps so easy and cheap. If you want to pull that off with a barb I hope you have ALOT of time on your hands or a very high credit limit on your credit card. b:chuckle

    The whole point of barbs is to tank things other classes can't. Holding aggro is only important if you are the only one in the squad who can tank something. Countless ocean sales later, many other classes can tank the whole game, including Harpy, so don't blame high APS in making barbs useless. The only thing high APS does that helps survivability is the regular Triple Spark combined with Blood Paint, but that is not enough to get you through the harder bosses in the game, high refines and vit stones did the rest.

    Your whole post really does contradict what your trying to say, I have been playing on and off since cb, and before the whole 5.0 there was ALOT more barbs! No one plays them now cause a effective barb that can hold aggro and tank costs ALOT, just think about it, you cant get 5.0 axes. I have nirv legs, 2 pieces of 99 and lunar cape and Im only 1.05. Hell, I've tanked frost runs on my sin when I was 94 with no cleric! Does that tell you anything about the state of the game?

    Before the whole 5.0 how many Ocean sales were there? No one plays barbs now because an effective barb that can tank and hold aggro is not necessary, because many other classes can tank, hold aggro and output much more damage. Other classes have always been able to out damage a barb, but they couldn't tank before without high refines and nice gear. Being a barb is not more expensive, stop being ignorant. An archer that tanked Harpy on my server had +10 on almost every piece of gear, +10 on 4 orns, and vit stones socketed. You think that doesn't cost a lot? You think any 5.0 can go and tank Harpy?

    You think +10 gears would be so common if those Ocean and D orb sales didn't happen?

    if i'm going to pay someone to run fc with me it will be a sin or a bm, not a barb...duh

    why the hell would the amount of barbs go down any more than the rest of the classes? seekers are not fckn tankers. they're about as good a tank as a BM, which needless to say, is not as good as a tanker barb. this thread is ritarded, even more so than the thread about wizards dieing out, and the thread about venos dieing out, and the discussions on clerics dieing out. nobody is going to become exsinct, or take more of a hit to their population than anyone else.

    Wrong. You only need to meet a threshold to be able to tank well. BMs are good enough if geared correctly.

    Being able to survive against mobs is meaningless if you can't gain enough aggro and the mobs kill off squishier group members.

    Also, it's somewhat ironic you call this thread "ritarded" while using words like "exsinct".
