Good. I have your attention. b:chuckle The title of this thread makes as much sense as the state of this game. On Lost City, Essence successfully defended 3 simultaneous attacks each day this weekend. The attacks were not from weak guilds, either. Anyone still want to claim rank 9 didn't unbalance the game?

I'm happy for Essence, don't get me wrong. I am sad, however, that the PWI developers let the game get to this point. In the TW's I was in on Arch this weekend, we had cata barbs with 18,000hp getting one-shot by rank 9 psychics. As a wizard, I was getting one-shot constantly by rank 9 archers. That's with 6,000 hp, 13,000 pdef, and rank 8 / TT99 gear.

Free to play, pay to win used to be a humorous remark about cash-shoppers. It is now a statement of fact. b:sad

I'm officially joining the other legions of people who are leaving the game. For what I've spent on PWI, I could have bought a new motorcycle. There are other games coming out soon that have been designed with a more intelligent class balance. I don't care about any subscription fees anymore; they would cost me a lot less than surviving in this game will. b:surrender

    No fun for the smaller factions. They should limity the amount of territories 1 faction can hold.

    PvP wise, meh. you're pretty much screwed if you're up against rank 9.

    But then again, it would be boring to always win and never have a challenge with rank 9 on. The ones that end of loosing the fun in the game are the rank 9, while the ones that end up getting annoyed are the ones without it

    This is why I'm going to eventually go rank 9 on my Archer. -_-; I wanna oneshot people all day long in TW.

    Except by then, I'll have to sell several organs to be able to get Rank 10. I'm guessing that just the RING for Rank 10 will cost as much as ALL of Rank 9. Motorcycle? You could buy a condo for Rank 10. And by the time I can afford that, Rank 11 will be out, which will cost as much as the USS Enterprise-F, which can go Warp 22 and destroy entire universes. I'll take the Enterprise, thank you.

    The defence in lost city lasted pretty long though, over 30 minutes for all 3 of the wars :P and i've seen kamisama rank9's the leader of pokerface is a rank9

    The TW example was just provided as evidence of what everybody already knows... the game is unbalanced, and is becoming pointless for people who don't want to spend a mountain of cash. This affects all servers.

    What really got me thinking this weekend... I want a new sound card for my computer. I started thinking about maybe just building a new PC. My last one cost me around $1200 to build.

    $1200 for my computer.

    I've spent almost three times that much on this game... b:sad

    I know Vin quite well, and he never was the type to be a QQ'er about anything in this game. Always a good sport and looking to the positive side of things.

    This is yet another example of how PWE is chasing off their devoted and long time players by introducing such idiocy as R9, and neglecting to update the original classes to match the strength of the newer classes.

    Everything that PWE touches in this game, gets destroyed or warped somehow. Its really sad to see, but time goes on.

    I'm R8 and I can take down many Rank 9's without much difficulty. Also, another factor would be squad communication in TW, because having 5 guys on 1 R9 kinda makes em *poof* in like 5 seconds..

    That doesn't really surprise me. Using a +12 Nirvana second cast bow I two shot a 15k hp barb as an archer, mage classes with rank9 would expect to do much, much better.

    You really need to look at how classes with R9 fare against each other if you want to talk about balance. I for one believe that the massive attack level bonuses favor ranged classes much more than melee classes. As for balance of power amongst factions, there's no such thing really. Any sale, say a D Orb sale, would mess with that.

    Just add a +50% Def blessing to the Facebook options ...

    But seriously while r9 ofc plays a factor it is elevated by the fact everyone is already running around with the +30 Att levels from the Jones blessing.
    While some will say " Everyone gets one say it's even " but that is only some what true. The higher base dmg classes (wiz/phys etc ) will always get more benefit and proportional increase from it.

    Should really make the Jones blessing work only in PvE

    I wish to pre-empt my comment by saying I am a noob in many respects and have never been near a TW - I know this - I'm just wondering -

    Can some of the unbalance you guys talk about be counter balanced (if even slightly?) with better use of Genie skills and apothecary remedies?

    Rank 9 can use those too. Its a null battle there.

    And CQ successfully defended triple attacks before Rank and Event gear... So what's your point?

    Your real point is, why aren't there enough good players willing to put together another TW faction? Nobody cares. That's why.
