Do any exist? like say addons onto the game that arnt bad, like say something that shows you TEXT number for a countdown on your Cool Downs of skills, that'd be amazing instead of watching a window washer. Just a mouse over and see a little number.
Any such programs out there?

Explain Kill.
"can make it"?
Cuz go for it.
PWI needs addons like this stuff, makes the game a lot better. Any kinda add on, something that auto places a charm when ur old one runs out, little things like that. Make a huge difference. Think of Perfectworld like Firefox then, with tons of extentions to make stuff easier.0 -
Someone made a buff timer. Showed you how long your buffs had till they ran out if you mouse over.
Least I think that was it.. if the search function actually worked, im sure you could find it.. otherwise, a forum mod might be able to link it here, since they did in another thread.Koiz - omfg my life is now complete

I don't mean a serperate program, I mean something you can throw on PWI, or hell if its a seperate program mointor when you use a skill and have a timer count down till the skill is down, not BUFF timers I mean ATTACK skills.0

There are none because any it's a bannable offense.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.

Olbaze - Sanctuary wrote: »They probably already exist, but it's a bannable offense, so it can't be listed here anyway.
Fixed. However, having timers and such that don't interfere with the client or its files at all, I don't think they are a bannable offense.
IE: A program that knows when, say, a buff runs out and moves the mouse, or generates a key stroke for you, interferes with the client (considered botting). However, a program that counts down the seconds/ minutes for you until a debuff or buff wears off as you manually use the mouse or hit the keys yourself and is outside of the client completely should be fine.

These sorts of add-ons are more or less standard in most western MMOs. Back when I played [Name Redacted], I was the only healer in guild using the default UI. I remember listening to the folks throw a fit in vent every time there was a major patch and their UI broke. I generally had to pick up their slack on healing because they couldn't couldn't play unless they had their add-ons. It's a paradigm I can live without."It is said that whomsoever the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad. In fact, whomsoever the gods wish to destroy, they first hand the equivilant of a stick with a fizzing fuse and ACME Dynamite Company written on the side. It's more interesting, and doesn't take so long."

It is more effective to ban all modifications than just some. By banning all of them, you completely eliminate the possibility of banning innocents and the actual bad people getting away via clever usage of words, e.g. "loopholes".
And really, considering that you get banned with no questions asked, it's better not to take any risks.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.

What if you want to improve some texture by using texmod this is allowed in another rpg I play.Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.0

Please comprehend what has already been explained.
Mods and addons are not allowed, and you can be banned for using them.0 -
I did but texmod only effects what you see not others and it would be best to wait for an official answer not just reading the EULA.Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.0

You are modifying the game files. That's not allowed. The freaking end.0 -

Which can easily be "covered up" by doing certain things to keep PWI's lil spy-bot out of your system. b:cuteSome people risk to employ me

It's useful if you're tracking buffs/Hots on members of several squads or debuffing multiple targets. I suppose it might get some hypothetical use in territory wars or other mass pvp. There's also some folks that like having a numerical timer on their spell cooldowns.

I have also played with such add ons . Personaly i can play with or without them but some were realy useful to have.
PWI does'nt need them, it has no complicated boss fights and you have time to think about what's happening around you.
The problem with add ons is, it's another source to get **** if you dont take care in what you d/load.0 -
Sounds like this person wants the a *feature* added to PWI to see how much time we have left on the buffs. So when you hover your mouse over a buff on your status bar it tells you how much time you have left on it.
This sounds like a GOOD IDEA.
NOT an external program.Time won't wake/make you wiser, but it will definitely wound you.

That thread also confirms that programs like that one do not violate the terms of service agreement.
I might have to try my programming skills at making a better version of something like that, but my busy schedule has been preventing me from doing much of anything lately. I just did a search on "buff timer" (with the quotes) and found it pretty easily: Buff Timer! by: Tequila_Wolf

I wasn't referring to the Buff timer I'm asking for something that tells you when a skill is going to be cool'd down, because you have these 5 minute and 15 minute cool down's I'd like to have a NUMBER on it to know when it's close to done instead of having to watch a clock or something, same for all items like Apoth with a cool down, just a timer on it. I know of this "buff timer" but that is not what I am asking for.0 -

Is it bannable if I hide from the client's built in spy bot thingy that spanks you if you open 2 clients?0

I would assume so, since doing so would allow you to open 2 clients simultaneously, thus going against the ToS. Multi-clienting is prohibited, and is a bannable offense.0 -

I had to borrow this for my sig, i'm sorry XDI quit. Nothing ever changes @ PWE or PW CN . Expansion was over hyped. Guild bases (that looked cool) can be destroyed, so why waste the time if your a in a small faction like me.

Yet the majority of catshops in this game are multicliented accounts. Also, multiclienting as a good number of other "bannable offenses" are perfectly allowed in PW-CN and other versions of the game. Why PWI has to specifically make all kinds of harmless things bannable is beyond me.
It just goes to further my point: Devs are not the problem, GMs and Mods are not the problem, it's whoever runs PWI that is the problem.0 -
Bellarie - Raging Tide wrote: »Yet the majority of catshops in this game are multicliented accounts.
All the people I know who frequently catshop either switch to the catshop when they're not playing or have a second (usually older) computer that they use for their catshop account.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

And you know this... how?
All the people I know who frequently catshop either switch to the catshop when they're not playing or have a second (usually older) computer that they use for their catshop account.
And everyone ive talked to via vent or real life has another account on a minimised-to-tray client on the same PC.
---Since the IP address PW sees is the same by either method, theyl never be able to tell the difference unless they put in some rather abusive and invasive identification programming b:bye
And noone cares anyway. Minimised client vs one on another PC...... Green planet anyone?
---Oh and... I could run another client on a virtual machine. Youd not be able to tell JACK from that, no matter what method you used.0 -
And you know this... how?
There's people on Worldchat late at night or on weekends (when gm's are in bed or off work)
That have offered to give away multi-client programs to use for your shops.
Not all the catshop's owners have another comp or if they do, want to waste it on a shop if they could be healing/tanking with two chars on two comps.
You can fly around the map on dreamweaver and find more than one bot too. Most people don't report those things unless it directly affects them.
Now a lot of people avoid that because we don't wanna get ban-hammered, but it DOES happen and most likely will keep happening.

WTS training for playing hide and seek with the pwi spy bot b:chuckle
GM's are super good about cracking down on botting when they find out, it's 1 of things they do best. Where did I read that rubberbanding is something which is used to combat speed hacks? I remember when an enemy cata all alone beat us to the 1/2 way point on C path at the start of a TW, while we were on mounts.0 -
Agreed, i've seen many botting, but unless it effects me i wont report it, i personally think the cat shop idea is ****, way to laggy for us European players, you could atleast do what some other games do and make it so each server had like 4 layers to it "cant think of correct term" and u could switch to a less populated one, less lag.
But yeah i play world of ********, and addons make it more fun to play, damage metres, Interface mods, if anything makes the players happy and less work for the gms and game designers, PWI interface is the worst i've seen, how long it been out 3 years, 4? taken till genesis to actually spice up the interface, and dont get me started on the quest system, *stops before my head explodes" i love perfect world, but it could be alot better with very little effort.0
